Quick info
About Moor Beer Co
Moor Beer Co is a brewery in Bristol on Days Rd, where live bands play inside the brew room among the brewing coppers on some nights. That puts a gig right beside the equipment that makes the beer. The taproom serves its own beers on tap and cask, with guest beers and cider on offer alongside the craft range. Several seating areas run through the building. The taproom opens on Friday and Saturday only, and special events are listed on the website. Visits are walk-in. An outside food vendor sells plant-based food, including chilli and nachos.

Customer Review Summary
Live music in the brew room, played among the brewing coppers, is what reviewers raise most. One calls it some of the best in Bristol, and another describes a unique gig venue with decent sound. Close behind is the beer, a wide range of their own taps and cask ales plus guests and cider, with Resonance named in one review. Reviewers also praise the outdoor tables and the several seating areas inside, and one mentions an outside vendor's plant based chilli and nachos. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, and one is singled out for knowing taste requirements and giving good suggestions. The criticism is sharper but less common. One reviewer found the taproom closed and in darkness at 5pm after visiting at 2pm, and another calls the place dirty, run down and depressing. Two reviewers say a past boycott over a previous proprietor and a staff member's words has been resolved, with one noting that the staff member has been let go.

“Some of the best live music in Bristol. Very nice & down to earth staff. For anyone concerned about any rumours — this bar used to be under boycott because of their previous proprietor. They have since bought him out and the issue has been resolved.”

“Somehow both sad and depressing. A flagship for the decline of Bristol into the UK’s answer to Portland. Dirty, run down, surrounded by squats and decay, run by people more interested in displaying their allegiances than offering a quality product and service. A sad decline from what it once was. Depressing.”

“Nice taproom with a good range of their own beers on tap/cask. Seating inside and out. They also have bands play actually inside the brewery some nights, worth checking out as it’s quite a unique gig venue with decent sound and normal prices beers.”
