Customer Review Summary
The carvery draws the most praise, with reviewers describing it as hot and fresh, with a choice of gammon, turkey and beef and a good selection of vegetables. Several say it rivals Toby Carvery and call the prices reasonable. Close behind are the oversized desserts, including a foot long eclair that took three people to finish and cakes so big some diners took portions home. Others single out the Combo Stack Burger with beef dripping gravy, a chicken tikka masala and a honeycomb chocolate ice cream scoop. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and helpful, and the indoor play area lets parents supervise children while they finish eating. The caveats centre on everything outside the carvery. One reviewer calls the other meals small and average pub food, while others found the cauliflower wings overdone and the burger's bacon slightly burnt. One party reports main meals arriving before carvery plates, kids menus never appearing, no high chair despite a booking note, and only four sets of cutlery left for ten people. Cake boxes are available for leftover dessert.

“Highly recommend this place. Good quality and quantity of food. My husband has a Sunday Roast which was served as a buffet which was lovely, and I had a Chicken Tikka Masala, which was also good. Crispy chips, good quality meat and also lovely ice cream, I had a Honeycomb chocolate scoop. Generous portions of all food. Visited on our way back from a road trip and desperately need EV charging so this was the perfect stop. Excellent, reliable high speed charger, which makes it perfect for stops when commuting on long trips.”

“Fairly nice pub, plenty of outdoor seating for the summer. There is an indoor play area for the children. Staff were quite friendly. Beer and food was reasonably priced. Carvery was nice, fairly standard offerings and menu for this type of pub. Cheaper than the Premier Inn next door. No complaints really.”

“Just had a lovely meal with my brother. We come to Redwood Farm quite often because the prices are incredible, and it genuinely rivals Toby Carvery. The staff are always so welcoming, and the man who served our carvery, Brandon Lee, is a true gentleman. He’s friendly, genuine, and a real credit to the team. When we first came over, he was cleaning all around the food trays. I’m a bit particular about cleanliness, so seeing that straight away was a really good sign. It always makes me feel more comfortable eating somewhere that clearly takes pride in keeping things clean. Overall, a really good experience. If you haven’t been to Redwood Farm yet, don’t hesitate—you won’t be disappointed.”

“First time visitor to this establishment. Straight off Dave H was helpful, courteous and accommodating. The menu was broad with something for everybody’s tastes, even the fussiest customer, I’m sure. Food was delivered quickly to the table, I had the cauliflower wings, nice if a bit overdone. Other person has the mushrooms, which were lovely and crisp. Mains were easily adjusted to suit each person’s tastes. Portions were good. Desserts, now that is another level all together. They were massive. If you manage to finish one yourself then expect to be in a food coma after it. I have never seen a foot long eclair in my life, until I ordered one here. Words cannot describe what came to our table. Took three of us to eat the thing. Josh our server was lovely and helpful. How Tori, who brought our desserts out to us, kept a straight face, when she seen the look on mine looking at the dessert, is beyond me. Again a helpful and considerate server. Overall I would recommend here as a down to earth well serviced food establishment, good parking, with EV charging if needed and good accessibility, with excellent appetising food.”

“Went here for my birthday as we had some food vouchers to use. I originally came planning to have the carvery, but after a recommendation from a staff member — who was also really helpful with our voucher — I decided to try the Combo Stack Burger instead. Which come in at £13.29. It came with a beef burger and buttermilk chicken breast stacked with bacon and melted cheese, plus chips and coleslaw. I must have completely missed the part in the description about the beef dripping gravy, so that was a very welcome surprise when it arrived! Honestly, dipping the burger into the gravy made it even better and was something a bit different. The bacon was slightly burnt and the beef burger was a little overdone for my taste, but overall I still really enjoyed the meal and was glad I tried something different instead of going for the carvery.”
