  “I love cycling to Merkins for coffee and cake. There’s a sandpit for children and my husband loves their cooked breakfast as well. Plus on a good day when you can sit outside it feels glorious. (My dog loves their dog biscuits as well!!)”

  “Second time here and this experience was even better than the first (which was excellent). Breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced as usual, but the service was the highlight of this visit. Staff member named Will went above and beyond, taking our post-meal coffee order at our table so we didn't have to join a long queue. A small but very thoughtful gesture that gave my mate and I more time to catch up and enjoy the immaculate vibes of Merkins Farm Cafe.Definitely coming back for breakfast again because of that! 10/10 Thanks Will!”

  “Me and my partner went to try the burgers on their first Burger Night and it honestly did not disappoint. We had the Korean BBQ and OG Smash burgers with truffle and parmesan fries and it was absolutely delicious. The staff could be more friendly and welcoming. It really was a hit and will definitely go back. 10/10”

  “I have been here a few times now and I must say I absolutely love it! Super friendly staff, good variety of food and cake options as well as indoor and outdoor seating with lovely views. Within 10mins of ordering we had received our drinks and food, exceptional service. There’s also a small gift shop where you can buy some very cool items. Would highly recommend!”

  “A really lovely place to eat. Breakfast was quite good.... However although it has a large space to eat outside. Dogs are still allowed inside. We just started eating and a dog decided to have a poo on the floor near us. No need for dogs to be inside. It was a nice warm morning. This completely put us off.”

  “Merkins is always a treat for brekkie out- food, atmosphere, & staff are always lovely! Tried out the cinnamon pastry today which was fluffy whilst also have a crisp glaze & they were happy to warm this up for me. Pancakes & syrup were gorgeous & fluffy but could’ve done with a tad more syrup. Fry up was good & they were happy to add fried bread to this, although the smokey sausage was deemed not smokey enough! Breakfast for three came to £50 which seems a tad dear but wouldn’t stop us from coming back!”

  “Always amazing food and service at Merkins. Tonight was their debut burger evening and it was a triumph, the team should be proud. It was incredibly busy, probably busier than they had anticipated! But the service was amazing, as it always is, and the burgers, chips and guest beers were great. A big thank you to all the staff for a great evening for myself and my family. A must visit for everyone and anyone.”

  “Merkins Farm is an absolute gem and easily one of the best foodie spots in the South West. You can genuinely feel the love and care that goes into everything they do from the food to the warm, welcoming service. It is the kind of place that reminds you what a true family run business should be wholesome, personal, and full of heart. I have now had the pleasure of trying three of their French toast creations the mini egg, the Biscoff, and the strawberries coated in chocolate and honestly, each one has been incredible. Hands down the best French toast I have had near Bath & Bristol. Perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and clearly made with top quality ingredients. The service is just as outstanding. I have been served by Holly, Martha, and Abbey, and every one of them has looked after my family and me so well, friendly, attentive, and genuinely lovely. The whole team at Merkins is fantastic and really makes you feel at home. On top of that, even the little details shine, the coffee art is seriously impressive and just adds to the whole experience. If you are anywhere nearby, this place is an absolute must visit. Five stars without hesitation!”

  “Regrettably this review follows my first visit today, but it is also the last one to Merkins Farm Cafe for breakfast. This is a real shame as I am both local, and eat out for breakfast regularly. I was expecting great things, especially as on their web site they state that: Country Life rate it as one of the top full English breakfasts in the country. Alas it wasn't to be and at best I would describe it as mediocre. I have given one star as the staff were very pleasant, as is the setting but that's where the positive ends. I noted before I arrived, that the breakfast is one of the more expensive in the area, which I don't mind if the quality is good. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast which not only was bland but came with what I would describe as child size portions of food and the smallest strips of halloumi I've ever had with a breakfast. The sweetcorn fritter just tasted of dough which wasn’t pleasant at all. Plenty of toast though! albeit cheap white bread with no alternative on offer. Being a bit of a coffee snob, I had hoped that at least the Americano would be decent, as the beans are roasted locally, I understand. They may be good beans, but I was unable to judge, as the coffee was so weak I felt like I was drinking coffee flavoured water. Sorry Merkins Farm Café I had hoped to become a regular.”
