Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is what most reviewers return to, with several calling it well cooked and hot, one describing crispy bacon and a runny egg yolk, and another naming it one of the best they have had. Close behind are the toasties, including a cheese and tomato one, plus jacket potatoes, quiche and soup, and a Sunday roast with a proper crumble that surprised a walker expecting a light bite. Sausage rolls, homemade cakes and a side of baked beans also earn praise. Staff, often described as young and friendly, get repeated credit for helpful service, and one reviewer notes good vegetarian choices and oat and soy milk. Several suggest stopping by if in the area. The complaints centre on service and the same breakfast. One reviewer reports slow coffee and a table by the door that meant standing repeatedly to let people through. Another found the bacon like leather with a congealed yolk. A third received a bap with a single small piece of bacon that came back not crispy after asking for it that way.

“First time visit. I had hoped this breakfast was going to be good, but it was only okay. The bacon was like leather and the egg yolk was congealed. See photo! The mushrooms and sausage were very good though.”

“Stopped here today after running the two tunnels circuit. Good honest grub at very reasonable prices. The Charlie’s choice sandwich hit the spot. My partner really loved the side of baked beans we shared. Excellent service from the young girls who served us too!”

“Service was slow, took 25 minutes to get my coffee. There was only a 1 small piece of bacon in my bap which was primarily just bread and i did ask if I could have it more crispy which the waiter said yes that is absolutely fine, it came out and was not that. The seating arrangements also could be better, we were sat by the door and I had to keep standing up even whilst eating (5/6) times to let people through and to let the staff through.”

“Food was great! Quality ingredients, all nice and hot. All cooked perfectly. Served by a young gentleman who was very helpful and happy to serve customers. Homemade cakes looked amazing, unfortunately after the big breakfast didn't have room for one! But still looked and I'm sure tasted great! Well worth a visit”
