About Mops & Brooms
Mops & Brooms is a pub in Borehamwood on Rowley Ln, set in a modern building with a rustic style and views over the countryside. An on-site children's play area gives families a place for younger guests to play during a visit. The kitchen serves burgers and hearty mains, with a steak pie and a seafood sharer on the menu. Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast draws the most mentions, with diners calling the roast beef, roast chicken and steak pie really tasty and the portions generous. Close behind is the family setup, as several reviewers praise the play area and garden for keeping children entertained. Others single out the seafood sharer, fresh and perfectly fried cod, tender scampi, and chocolate and cherry cheesecakes. Service is repeatedly described as friendly, with one server recommending mains and desserts. The criticism is smaller but specific: one reviewer found the roast dinner tasted like plastic with very pale chicken, while another noted unheated plates and a bar left unattended with only two staff covering the floor. One family says a server got their two-year-old to eat after he had refused at home.

“We had a great meal, 9 adults and 3 high chairs- so quite a busy table. Everyone served us well but Lotty was great, patient and helpful. The seafood sharer was particularly good. The little ones enjoyed the garden and play equipment too. We'll be back, nice people and good value!”

“We had an amazing Sunday roast here! The food was incredible, the staff were fantastic, and the portion sizes were generous for the price. A huge bonus was the on-site play area for the kids, which was well maintained and made the visit even more enjoyable for our family. A special thank you to Lotty, who was so friendly and attentive. She somehow managed to get our 2-year-old to eat when he had completely refused for us! He absolutely warmed to her, and she looked after us brilliantly throughout our meal. Thank you, Lotty, for making our visit so special. We’ll definitely be back!”
