About Robin Hood
On The Ridgeway in Enfield, Robin Hood has been a McMullen's pub since 1904, and its dining section at the back has a conservatory on stilts overlooking the London skyline. The bar area sits on one side, while the dining area has booths and a fireplace that is lit indoors. The kitchen serves a roast with lamb shoulder and large Yorkshire puddings, and steak and ale pie is also on the menu. Mac's cask ale is poured at the bar, and dogs are welcome, so walkers can stop in with their pets. The pub is open daily.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the Sunday roast, singling out a proper lamb shoulder, generous portions and the biggest Yorkshires one diner has seen. Steak frites comes close behind, with one reviewer calling the steak cooked exactly medium rare and another saying it was cooked to perfection. Steak and ale pie, fish and chips, buttermilk chicken thighs with BBQ sauce and honey glaze, and calamari and sweet chilli chicken starters also get mentioned, and desserts are called a highlight, including a dairy free one made for a diner's son. Service is described as friendly and attentive, with a reception host finding a table for a group without a reservation and a server accommodating dietary requirements. Families note the children's menu and games at the entrance, and several mention the fireplace and cosy feel. The one criticism is a prawn cocktail whose coriander overpowered the other flavours. One reviewer's receipt confusion was resolved without hesitation.

“I visit the Robin Hood regularly. I took my son today for his birthday and also met some friends there on Sunday to celebrate together. The food was exceptionally good as usual and our server Ethan went above and beyond to accommodate my son’s dietary requirements and the chef Ritesh (who I’m told is fairly new) put together a very special well presented dairy free dessert today. Ethan was very polite and friendly and as always Mandy was her very cheerful friendly self. I would highly recommend a visit and I look forward to our next meal there.”

“Came on a tuesday afternoon for late lunch with my partner. We had just visted the transport exhibit and this pub was only a few mintues away. The staff were superfriendly and welcoming. We were served by Ethan and Thomas. The food was excellent. What I really appericated was that the staff were attentive and got all the basics right, checking in and making sure our food was good as well as just being very friendly and chatty. We'll defiently recommend and be back soon! Thank you for having us.”

“Lovely pub just outside Enfield town. We came on Saturday afternoon and the place was buzzing. Few families started celebrating Mother's day early 😊. The fireplace was on, the smell of burning wood was magical and the place was very cosy. The lovely lady at the reception found a table for us, even though we didn't have a reservation, so sweet of her. We had a late lunch, the Steak Frites was delicious with the steak cooked to perfection, the Buttermilk chicken thighs were crunchy, with a juicy interior, and the crispy fried onion topping with the BBQ sauce and honey glaze were a perfect combination for the dish, of course with a side of chunky chips 🙂. The food and the service at this establishment is always 10/10. Thank you all for such a pleasant dining experience! Of course we returned to this lovely place, and as always the service was great and food was tasty!”

“Fantastic Mother’s Day visit to the Robin Hood. Finn and the team were on top form; forever attentive, friendly, and running things like a well‑oiled machine. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Couldn’t have asked for more! See you again soon x”

Highlights
“A McMullen’s pub since 1904, the Robin Hood is nestled in the remote hamlet of Botany Bay on the Ridgeway. This is a favourite dining spot by the locals especially when the sun shines! For alfresco enjoyment the Robin Hood easily hosts the best pub garden around even if we do say so ourselves. If the weather isn’t on your side, enjoy the roaring log fire or dine in our conservatory on stilts, over-looking the London skyline. Our chefs lovingly create food with a focus on British Heritage and fresh seasonal ingredients, championing Sunday roasts coupled with a glass of fine wine, a pint of Mac’s cask ale or classic cocktail.”
