Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the lively atmosphere and friendly, accommodating staff, with live music, Irish songs and sport on screens indoors and out, where one diner could still talk easily during the football. Food comes close behind: a Sunday roast beef dinner so tender it fell apart, a salmon main with the sauce served apart, fish and chips, leek and potato soup and apple pie with custard, plus vegetarian, vegan and gluten free choices. A wedding party praised the finger buffet and the handling of allergies. A few note it is not one of the cheaper places, and graduation and match nights get hopping busy, with one group waiting a while to be seated. The sharpest complaint comes from a long-time student customer who reports being told food and soft drinks were out of stock, only for someone else in the group to order the same item and receive it, and who describes staff chatting behind the bar instead of serving. One reviewer recalls a staff member staying until the end of a packed match night to make sure everyone got a taxi home.

“Probably the worst customer service provided at any pub in London, ever. Been coming here for five years as I’m a student at the university next door, and no pub in the area will treat you as poorly as this one will. Forget about catering to the customer, if they have a bone to pick they will pick it with you until there is nothing left. I have countless experiences of them lying about what they have in stock (not talking about alcohol) just because they can’t be bothered to serve you. This has happened to me with food, and soft drinks, where someone in my group will order the same thing after I’ve been told they’re out and will receive it no problem. You will ask them for prices, information, or help at the bar and they will always prioritize their own personal yapfest behind the bar over serving you. They will also get annoyed with you for asking for help, or interrupting their personal conversations!! Politeness is nonexistent. I’m leaving this review out of sheer exhaustion of ending up at this pub for years on end, looking for a calm drink after a day of work, only to be overcharged (£7.95 for a glass of BAREFOOT WHITE ZINFANDEL ARE U JOKING?!) and be disrespected. Y’all suck and I figured I’d finally put it in writing. And no, it’s not because you’re Irish, they’re usually lovely!! Y’all are just RUDE.”

“We have been to the restaurant twice. It had a genuine Irish atmosphere. The food was of impeccable quality. The Fish and chips were incredibly delicious. The service was attentive. It is not one of the cheaper places, but it is absolutely worth a visit.”

“The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was exceptional. A special thank you to Gabi, the floor manager, who went above and beyond to accommodate us and ensure we had a table despite how busy it was. We were also impressed by Hamid from the security team, whose kindness, professionalism, and welcoming attitude made our experience even more enjoyable. Thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!”

“Large selection of beers available, suiting every taste. I had the salmon main dish which my friend recommended. It was excellent cooked with the sauce served apart, so you can decide how much to put on. Although football was on we could still talk easily.”

“Amazing atmosphere. Live music, very busy due to the pre game celebration of Mayo vs London quarter final. Second night was extremely busy and it took us some time to get saved and seated, in honesty we didn’t think we would get in the second night due to the celebrations but both nights were equally as welcoming and we had grate memories. We spent both nights here Played grate Irish songs, friendly helpful staff, one in particular spent the end of the evening making sure everyone got a taxi back home safely. Thanks you will definitely be back again.”
