Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the friendly, welcoming staff, described as warm and attentive, alongside food they call authentic, fresh and flavourful. Named dishes include meatballs, pollo fungi, bruschetta topped with thin shavings of cheese, and a prawn dish with a perfect balance of ingredients. Pizza, calzones, pasta and risotto come in generous, filling portions, and one regular says it is one of the few places doing veal, Negroni and affogato. Drinks get a mention too, from ice cold Moretti to a drink served with plenty of ice and lemon. The atmosphere is called cosy, relaxed and family-friendly, and a couple of reviewers describe the prices as fair and good value. One notes the single level made it easy for a grandmother who uses a wheelchair. A party of eleven celebrating a birthday was even allowed to bring its own cake.

“I went to Cafe Italia last night for my partner’s birthday and we had a great evening. There were 11 of us and the staff were amazing — really friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They even let us bring our own birthday cake, which was a lovely touch. The food was amazing and the restaurant had a really nice atmosphere. We enjoy going to Italian restaurants and this is definitely the best Italian restaurant in the area by far. My partner’s grandma is a wheelchair user and found the restaurant really accessible. Everything was on one level, so getting in and out and accessing the toilets was easy for her. Thanks to all the staff for making it such an enjoyable evening. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Had our grandsons after christening meal here. ( 20/9/26). The staff are fantastic, the food is amazing and the price is very good value 👍. Lovely atmosphere. Having read some reviews of people saying they won't go back ,I say, good. (I wouldn't want them sat near me. Especially when I'm eating). Keep up the good work guys, you're a credit to the town. 🤩👍👍.”

“Our new absolute favorite! After passing by this gem for so long, we finally stopped in and it blew us away. From the authentic, lovely atmosphere to the incredibly warm and helpful staff, it truly felt like stepping into a restaurant in Italy. The food is out of this world. My wife is a die-hard pasta and risotto fan, while I’m all about pizza and calzones and both styles are executed flawlessly. Generous, filling portions packed with perfect flavor. We can’t stop coming back!”

“Had an absolutely brilliant meal here recently. The quality of the food was outstanding, especially the bruschetta topped with those thin shavings of cheese. Everything tasted so fresh and flavourful. We really enjoyed the prawn dish too, which had the perfect balance of ingredients. The drink was served nice and cold with plenty of ice and lemon. It was a lovely evening and we will definitely be coming back again soon.”
