Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the friendly, smiling staff, who are described as warm, welcoming and helpful, with one reviewer calling the service world class. The coffee comes close behind, with several calling it excellent, alongside fresh pastries and bakery items. Named favourites include a spinach and feta cheese pie that was a hit at an office coffee morning, plus a sausage roll and an iced chocolate. The atmosphere is described as beautiful, bright, inviting and chilled, and one reviewer who worked there all day mentions power sockets. A few note the place is clean and the food is halal. The main complaint comes from one reviewer who found the coffee only ok and the service terrible: during a quiet period with two staff working, three coffees were made at different times and staff shouted for customers to collect them rather than bringing them to the table. That reviewer suggested more staff training. Another group described smooth service even for a larger office party, and one reviewer calls it a place to shut out the noise.

“Hands down one of the best cafes in Bolton! Coffee Rule never disappoints - excellent coffee, great atmosphere and always spotless. What makes it even better is the staff, especially Merry (Maria). She is so warm, friendly and welcoming, always with a smile and amazing customer service. She really goes above and beyond and is a true asset to the team. Highly recommend!”

“I spent the whole day working from Coffee Rules Bolton and had a really great experience. The café has a beautiful design and lovely decoration, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere to spend a few hours in. The drinks and pastries were amazing and tasted fresh, and the staff were extremely friendly throughout the day, always bringing such positive energy and making the place feel even more welcoming. It’s also a great place to work from, with power sockets available, which makes it practical as well as enjoyable. Overall, a fantastic café with great food and drinks, lovely staff and a beautiful atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend Coffee Rules Bolton and will happily visit again!”

“Coffee is ok. Atmosphere better but service terrible. Order 3 coffee on the quiet time. Two staffs working , we sat down and they made the drinks all different times, and on top off that they shout to come and get your drinks. They couldn’t be bothered to bring it to your table which I found it very strange. Paying all that money and not having any service. Maybe more training for the staff would be helpful.”
