About Lever Street Cafe
Lever Street Cafe is a cafe on Lever St in Bolton, set in a former industrial mill building and serving a menu that mixes English and Caribbean/Jamaican food. That pairing lets the kitchen put a Spam and egg barm on the same list as Caribbean-style rice. The chips are hand-cut and fried to order, made in house rather than brought in. The cafe runs as a daytime operation, so the food suits a breakfast or lunch stop. The building sits among small industrial and motor repair businesses.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the full breakfast, which several describe as filling and priced under a fiver, and they treat the low prices as the main draw. Close behind is the mix of British and Jamaican dishes, with hand-cut chips fried to order, Caribbean style rice and a spam and egg barm all named. Soup also comes up, including a leek and potato with a kick of chilli and a mushroom and sweetcorn soup the owner made specially for a vegetarian when the soup of the day contained chicken. The owner and staff are repeatedly called friendly, and one reviewer says food was served quickly even with the owner cooking and serving alone. One regular has breakfast delivered to their workplace every week for a group of up to 20, and says it always arrives on time and hot. The only drawback anyone mentions is the setting, a former mill building among small industrial and motor repair businesses, which one reviewer says is not much to look at from outside.

“Love this cafe. As a veggie the soup of the day was chicken but the owner James set to and made me the most delicious mushroom and sweetcorn soup ever . The prices cant be beaten in this place (large full English £4.95) and the menu extensive with a mix of English and Carribean all sounds delicious. James looks so calm under pressure as he was alone cooking and serving when we called in but everyone served in no time..my favourite place to eat when in Bolton.”
