Customer Review Summary
Reviewers are split, and the main complaint is food that arrived overcooked or looked reheated, with one describing a limp salad of lettuce, carrot and two cherry tomatoes. Another reports being told "We don't have that at the moment" for every item they tried to order. Others fault slow service at the till and uncleared tables. Positives include Clipper organic herbal teas, vegan spread with toast, and friendly staff.

“I've given this little cafe there 4 for food, as I'd like to see more vegan choices on their menu, as regards cakes and deserts too. It was Sunday when I called in there, with my partner, Steven and wasn't all that busy and yet, some of the tables looked as though they could have done with cleaning up a bit. There was just a young girl and a lad serving there, that day and to be fair, they may have been very busy prior, that's all. Great food choices on their savoury and as regards their selection of potatoes or toast, vegan spread or sunflower spread., wonderful! All their herbal teas where Clipper Organic Teas too., amazing! Reasonable prices as well, would love to go back at some point ahead too., everything was delicious what I had and my partner, Steven, enjoyed his food choices in there too.”

“I visited the cafe on a Monday lunch time with my children to keep them happy before we did our weekly shop. After studying the menu and negotiating with all the kids to settle on their orders I was disappointed when the only reply I got from every item I wanted to order was “We don’t have that at the moment”. This led to very frustrated children and a very angry wife. I personally find it hard to believe that a few coach loads of tourists came early on a Monday for lunch and ate all the burgers, pizza, tikka masala and washed it all down with the maple syrup off the pancakes without eating the pancakes themself from all the regular sized cups. It feels like there was just nothing prepared in the first place, possibly expecting a quiet day. This was even more upsetting that we were charged full regular price for slushies but we’re only give small cups as they had no regular cups. “Why not just say no to the slushies?” I hear you ask. Well by this point I had several grumpy and hungry children and in order to keep the place from erupting it became necessary to appease them after their disappointed experience. Without sounding over dramatic, I won’t be attempting this again. A lesson learned.”

“Ordered a meal deal plus another drink. Lad on the till charged full price, had to explain I wanted the meal deal. He couldn't get his head around it. Took ages to sort it out. Drinks are served in paper cups, which means burnt fingers! 'Salad' consisted of lettuce, carrot, onion and 2 cherry tomatoes, and was very limp. As it's inside Asda, there is plenty of free parking, including disabled and children parking and the cafe is wheelchair friendly, although the counter is very high so anyone in a wheelchair would struggle while being served. You have to serve your own drinks as well, again it's quite high up, so a wheelchair user would struggle.”

“On arrival the women behind the counter made me and my wife wait for several minutes before taking our order. Once we’d placed the ordered it was a choir finding a clean table even though the cafe was virtually empty. The food then arrived and overcooked is a understatement it looked liked it had been cooked a few hours before then re heated the only thing that was fresh was the toast, I doubt we will be returning to the cafe”
