About Peshawar Kebab House
Peshawar Kebab House is a kebab shop in Birmingham, at 232 St Benedicts Rd, and its menu centres on spicy red donner, served in either a burger or a naan. The cheese burger meal deal bundles the burger with fries and a drink, which makes it a complete order in one go. Chicken tikka is also served in naan for anyone who wants something other than donner. Payment is cash only, so customers should bring cash to the counter. The shop opens daily.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the red donner, described as spicy with a good meaty texture and praised in a burger or a naan, with the cheese burger meal deal and the chicken tikka in soft, fluffy naan close behind. Chops and southern fried chicken also get mentions, and one reviewer credits the chef in the back with great food. The chilli sauce is called tasty, though one finds the tikka pieces cut very small. Complaints centre on consistency and service. One reviewer says the kebab meat arrives lukewarm, the fries are soggy, and phone orders get priority over walk-ins. Others say front staff need to pay closer attention to orders and that the shop could use freshening up. One reviewer says a chicken curry had a fishy smell and was thrown away uneaten, and says quality has declined recently. A few mention prices have risen, while others call them reasonable. Several reviewers say they phone ahead to avoid waiting, and one notes the shop is busy with schoolkids at peak times.

“The food is average it's not super fantastic like the best you will eat but it's okay if you live local as I wouldn't travel out of my way to get here otherwise. Red Kebab meat they like most Asian take-aways have a habit of turning on the kebab machine if you order one so they are heating meat up from stone cold to save money.... They should be keeping is on low so it rotates and retains that heat nice cooked texture. When I get home I literally have to heat it in the microwave as it's not hot in temperature enough and I live like 2 minutes away from this place. Years ago they used to sell brown doner kebab meat but they don't do that no more which is a mistake by them as used to taste really nice.... The other thing I would have from here is the southern fried chicken that is nice to be fair but they need to improve on there fries by changing oil regularly as they was soggy in and soft just nowhere near good cooked fries. The other problem would be the service it's very slow they do seem to prioritise phone call orders over someone that actually got backside to visit this place rather then be lazy.... The reason why it's such a slow service is because they have to cook everything nothing is and like said that Kebab machine needs to switch on at all times on love rotating as it's a health risk to reheat meat over and over again.”

“This restaurant used to stand out for the quality of all its dishes. However, in the recent period, the quality has declined significantly, especially the chicken and meat curry. The last time I ordered chicken curry, I was very disappointed. I’m sorry to say that it was extremely unpleasant, and it even had a fishy smell. I threw it away immediately without eating it. Because of this experience, I will not order any curry from this restaurant again, and I do not recommend anyone to order food from there.”

“Absolutely fantastic experience at Peshawar Kebab House! The chicken tikka was perfectly cooked – tender, flavorful, and packed with just the right amount of spice. Paired with their soft, warm naan, it made for an incredible meal. Everything about the place was spot-on: the service was friendly, the atmosphere welcoming, and the food came out fresh and fast. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic, delicious Pakistani food. I’ll definitely be coming back!”
