  “Food is okay/pretty nice. But what really lets this place down is the tiny portions. Ordering £12 curry is only a few tea spoons filled. £12 Briyani has bones. Overall to fill up 2 average people u would need to spend £40+ more. For a place in Birmingham it’s way too expensive compared to its competitors. That being said the packaging is excellent.”

  “I am a regular customer and usually order paratha rolls, sandwiches, and other items on a daily basis. However, over the last couple of weeks, I have noticed that the taste has not been the same as before. It feels different, and I was wondering if there has been any change in the chef. Kindly look into this matter, as I really enjoy your food and hope the original taste can be maintained.”

  “I haven’t had good biryani in the UK very often (other than what we have at home, cooked by my wife), but hand on heart — this was one of the best I’ve ever had from a shop. Really tasty and full of flavour! Sometimes the taste depends on the chef or how fresh it is, but today’s experience was truly top-notch. It’s a small spot, perfect for a quick school or office meal — though the rice portion could be a bit more for the price. Respectful and polite staff. Must, must try at least once!”

  “5/5 stars! Amazing experience at Biryani Guys! Tried their Chicken Biryani, Lamb Biryani, Chicken Kadai, Paratha Roll, and Sandwiches - everything was delicious! The kebabs were a highlight, and their drinks were refreshing. What really stood out was the beautiful ambiance they've decorated their small shop so nicely, it transports you back to Pakistan! The warm and cozy atmosphere adds to the overall dining experience. Great food, excellent service, and wonderful value. Highly recommend Biryani Guys for a fantastic dining experience that will make you feel like you're back home!"”

  “A small decent spot for chilling with friends. Went here for lunch after exams. Had chicken spicy biryani. Even though it is a small shop. A bit congested. Biryani Was really delicious. Friendly staff. Will surely go again with friends.”

  “I was recommended to try this place so I did. The food arrived pretty quick and was presented nicely. The lamb 🐑 Biryani was okay but you don’t get a lot of lamb per dish for what it costs as if you were to order at a lamb curry 🍛 from a take out you would at least get 8 pieces or more. I don’t think there was this many pieces in it. However the yoghurt sauce which came with it which resembled milk actually made the food taste a bit better and the small pot of onion 🧅 salad that you also get. The wasn’t bad per se. I would try it again to see the flavours of the other dishes but it wasn’t super amazing to me. However the food recipe maybe cooked to depict the area whence it came from so it could be authentic as it definitely was different. The food was not like any other style of Biryani I have had before as you well know there are many types of biryani dishes which have different flavour strengths. So check it out and see what you think 🤔. Happy eating. Oh by the way the place is very small and their is a small stool area inside and outside seating (if you want to freeze 🥶 your socks off) if you would like to eat there but their is no bathroom facilities available. To boot 🥾 the parking is a nightmare as it’s situated in Alum rock Birmingham.”

  “Very nice decor, great customer service and amazing biryani guys . There’s not really much more that can be said . The fragrance the aroma of the masala and spices were out of this world . Really enjoyed the food . I’m shocked to hear why it got bad reviews . If you want real Karachi food which by the way is known for its spice and biryani then there is no place better than biryani guys . Keep up the great work guys 👏”

  “Biryani is not made on site - comes freshly cooked from London every day (apparently). Good balance of flavours. Rice was severely undercooked therefore small and crunchy. Disappointed they haven't got the basics right. In summary you will receive what is basically reheated poorly cooked biryani in a small microwaveable container and be expected to pay London prices for it.”

  “I had the lamb biryani from here, what a disappointment that was. The meat was undercooked, the rice was crunchy and didn't look like long grain basmati. The flavour, well there wasn't any, all I could taste was chillies rather than spices. There was no balance to the meal. The price, well for £11.99 for a small portion - no thank you. London prices charged for a dish in Birmingham. Maybe the shop is better located in the city centre with those prices. The packaging and decor, I can be positive about this, their shop was vibrant in colour and decorative. The packaging was adequate for the price charged. I would have given this a higher rating if the rice was fluffy and the meat/masala was flavourful rather than spicy. Massive disappointment, shame really.”
