Customer Review Summary
Mandi comes up again and again as the dish to get, with reviewers praising tender lamb, generous platters that stretch across multiple meals, and the complimentary lentil soup served alongside it. Close behind, the fahsa and family meal platters draw similar praise for portion size, and several mention the private family rooms as a welcome touch. Prices are repeatedly called reasonable given the quantity of food. Hygiene is a recurring concern, with multiple diners noting the dining area and kitchen could use more care, and one reviewer describing menu items unavailable and a language barrier with staff taking orders. One customer reports inappropriate comments from a waiter during a visit with her mother, prompting her to say she would not return. Despite these complaints, most describe warm, friendly staff and fresh, flavourful food, with one diner noting the Adeni tea priced at just £1.

“Inappropriate comments and unwarranted flirt attempts made from the Yemeni waiter with blue eyes towards me with my mum present. You have one job and it’s to serve customers - with utmost respect. Shame as regular customers, we will no longer attend.”

“We visited Al Fursan and ordered a small meat platter, Foul Madammus, omelette, Fet-Teh-Moaz & Tamr, two teas and some drinks for the kids. The food was delicious and fresh, and the prices were very reasonable, which we appreciated. However, half of the menu wasn’t available at the time, which was disappointing. Hygiene needs improvement, especially in the dining area. Also, the person who came to take our order couldn’t speak a word of English, which made it quite difficult to communicate. There’s potential here, but a few important areas need attention.”

“Visited with family. We were given a separate room. Mandi was delicious and I loved the complimentary soup. The taste was good and the presentation. It gets very busy, service was not that bad. I had a look around the kitchen area, hygiene could be improved. Overall good food and good prices l.”

“Authentic Flavours, Great Prices, Warm Welcome Al Fursan is the kind of place you remember long after the meal is over. No fancy décor, no pretension – just incredible Middle Eastern food bursting with flavour, served in a relaxed, friendly setting. Every dish is fresh, perfectly seasoned, and generously portioned – the kind that makes you want to come back the next day. Prices are surprisingly low for the quality you get, making it a perfect spot for anyone who loves great food without the big bill. The staff are warm and welcoming, adding to that easy-going, local, street-food vibe. If you want authentic taste, great value, and genuine hospitality, skip the fancy restaurants and head straight to Al Fursan – you won’t regret it.”
