Arabic tea and naan follow during or at the end of the meal, also complimentary. The menu includes chicken, lamb and mixed shawarma plates served with fries or chips, and grills such as lamb shish. Fish with rice and salad is also on offer for those who want something different. Parking is difficult, so allow for that when planning a visit. Customer Review Summary
Shawarma comes up most, with the chicken version called very nice and a mixed shawarma plate with chips or fries ordered by several diners, though one found the lamb shawarma chewy and suspected mutton. Close behind are the grills, including lamb chops, wings, a half chicken in a tangy sauce and a tender lamb shish, plus fish with rice on a massive platter. Reviewers repeatedly mention generous portions and a complimentary lentil soup at the start. The criticism is specific. One reviewer called the chicken shish, shawarma with rice and half chicken bland and tasteless, and argued at the counter over an outdated menu until the price was revised. Another had an order wrong and was told the wrong sauce was garlic, citing a language barrier and suggesting ordering by menu item number. One reviewer says the grills do not travel well and are better eaten in, and another found the food a little cold when served. Some meals end with complimentary Arabic tea, naan or a yoghurt drink.

“Treated my mum for her birthday and she truly enjoyed this meal. It was a bit cold when they served us despite us being the only customers eating in but other than that, the flavours and portion were really generous!”

“This is a humble place however the food is really nice. We ordered lentil soup starter and lamb shish and it came with naan and fries. The lamb shish was tender and balanced. Ayran was really refreshing. Service is professional and friendly. Would eat here again.”

“Upon arrival we were immediatly served lentil soup. We then chose our items from the menu and it arrived within 15 minutes. The food was delicious , the fish with rice and salad for £10 was a bargain . We also ordered a half chicken which had a nice tangy sauce coating it. We also ordered a mix shawarma plate with chips. Overall the portions were very generous and they came with a LOT of salad. The total bill came to £23 including 2 cans of drink. Definitely a bargain. We were also given sauce bottles and a yoghurt drink at the end free of charge. Overall a great place if you are craving grill food and don’t want to pay a lot!”

“I’m fond of good quality Shawarma but most places have disappointed me. I visited this place with trepidation but am pleased to report that the chicken shawarma is very nice, however the “lamb” shawarma was very chewy. From the taste I’m certain it was mutton. I ordered the mixed shawarma (shown below) with salad. Will visit again but only for the chicken. Server initially got my order wrong until I told him the item number, each item on the menu is numbered and it’s best to use this system to order as there is somewhat of a language barrier. Was also told the light pink sauce (seen below) was garlic sauce but it wasn’t. They had a yellow sauce which I’m sure was the garlic so server got this wrong. Overall nice place and will eat in with friends soon. Atmosphere seems unique. Not many places now that you can get a decent meal for £6.”
