  “I first dined at Yugo a year ago, and it left a strong impression. Returning this year, I noticed a few changes — the portions have become more generous, and the prices have slightly decreased. However, the level of creativity in the dishes seems to have toned down, and the atmosphere now feels more geared toward group dining. That said, there are still some highlights. The meat was cooked perfectly, the salmon paired with white radish strips was fresh and well-balanced, and the spicy Brussels sprouts stood out with their bold flavour. Overall, while the experience was still enjoyable, it didn’t quite live up to my previous visit — and I’m not sure I’d return again.”

  “Really disappointed with Yügo after all the hype and good reviews. £8 for one chicken bao is wild — and it wasn’t special enough to justify the price. The prawn bao was the same story, also £8 and nothing exciting about it. It looked fine, but pretty basic for the price. The chicken mince dish was bland and the meat was actually cold. We sometimes avoid chilli’s, but we ended up adding them just to get some flavour into it. Tempura broccoli tasted great… but there were only two stems. The brussels were also good, but again, overpriced for what they are. Crispy pork dumplings were just average, nothing special. The fried rice with pea and ham tasted like something from a standard local Chinese, not a restaurant charging £8 for a portion. To be fair, the service and atmosphere were grand — no complaints there. We don’t mind paying for good food. But overall, it felt overpriced and overhyped. Expected much better. We won’t return unfortunately.”

  “It is a nice place if you feel like oriental food in the tapas style. There is a large selection dishes with Chinese Japanese and Thai influences. I absolutely loved the halibut and white radish slices and the Iberian pork dish with mushroom. The stir fry rice and sushi, string bean and buns are decent. But the dumplings and bbq corn fell below expectations.”
