Customer Review Summary

Diners most often single out the staff, described as warm, attentive and knowledgeable, with one group saying the team accommodated their dietary requirements and brought extra food for a party of three. The saffron risotto is named most, paired with beef short rib in one account and called filling but missing something in another. The croquettes, rabbit, cod with mashed potatoes and cavatelli also earn praise. Sticky toffee pudding, rhubarb and custard panna cotta and crème caramel stand out among desserts, and the blackberry bramble mocktail is called light and refreshing. One reviewer notes the vegetarian menu must be requested, and another says the wine arrived only after asking twice and that the toilets could be cleaner. Another finds the beef cooked unevenly. The harshest account describes a dry turkey dish and says a wife felt very ill after the pasta. A separate reviewer calls the burger the driest ever, with no onions despite the menu and no cheese at all after asking to swap the goat's cheese, though the cocktails still drew praise.

“I found this restaurant on my first visit to Belfast more than 10 years ago. I have visited Belfast 4 times now and have eaten at Home all 4 times. This is a special restaurant that continues to provide creative and flavorful dishes that showcase the current season. The atmosphere is lively and the service is excellent.”

“Good option for dinner. The restaurant does not feel like a bib gourmand. Cocktails were ok (4 of 5). The food was very good, cod with sause a winner, perfectly prepared with tasteful mashed potatoes. The pasta cavatelli was the winner. Accompanying wine good. Improvements: serve wine before food (had to ask twice) and cleaner toilets. Dessert: crème caramel was delicately balanced.”

“Our First time visiting this lil gem of a restaurant and certainly won't be our last. We visited tonight on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. From entering we were greeted with a smile and quickly shown to our table. The waiter was very attentive and very knowledgeable. We had the spiced lamb hummus which started our taste buds off followed by the beef short rib with saffron risotto "wow" amazing flavours! Then me being a sweet lover went with the waiters suggestion of the rhubarb and custard panna cotta which was delicious. We may only visit your beautiful city once a year but we will most definitely be dining with you each and every year we're here. 5* and some 🙌”

“A funa and lively place but you can still chat with decent food and stellar service. We came as a large group (14) and had a great meal. The staff were warm and welcoming and showed amazing Irish Hospitality. There was no halal options but they do have a separate vegetarian menu with additional options but you have to ask for it - which is a little unusual. I had some lovely houmous and pitta that was well seasoned, tasty and flavourful. My main of saffron risotto with beans was OK, the saffron taste was definitely there but it felt it was missing something - but very filling. Several of my friends had amazing dishes including the fish (brill) and steak which looked awesome - just wish they were halal!(oh well lol). They have a few mocktails if which I had the blackberry bramble which was light and refreshing. The must have star however was the sticky toffee pudding. Warm, sticky with a balanced icecream and a heady chocolate/caramel flavour. It was divine! The staff were awesome and engaging and we had a great meal and would love to come back some time.”

“"We had an incredible experience at Home yesterday. The food was absolutely delicious the croquettes and rabbit were standout—but what really blew us away was the service. In a time when many places are struggling, the team here went above and beyond to make us feel welcome (Ryan and Michael) and taken care of. It’s rare to find this level of attention to detail and genuine kindness in hospitality within belfast. We’ll definitely be back soon!"”
