“I would advise pre booking as it's a busy place and for good reason! we didn't but the staff did their best to accommodate the 5 of us and we got to enjoy the food and the play area so I can't thank the amazing staff enough, Our little girls loved it getting to buy there own drinks being treated as we do independently, as for the atmosphere it couldn't have been better, happy and lively customers, you know things are good when the carvery que is a mile long and not one customer seemed bothered by it far as I could tell”

“Havent been here for years and wont be returning. Visted for a meal, a carvery which was ok - the beef wasnt great. The gammon and beef dripping roast potatoes were nice. Also ordered a sausage and mushroom sandwich which was awful! It wasnt on a buttered breadcake as the menu said and I dont know how but my sausages were both cold and chewy as if overcooked. Wasnt impressed. Unfortunately I wouldnt return, a sausage sandwich isn't hard to get right. The lad behind the bar was polite, but they had an artist singing and one of the female workers made it very clear she wasnt impressed with having to listen to him all day. The toilets are also AWFUL!”

“13 of us were there for food and drink on a Saturday tea time. The service was very good and the food was excellent. The food came out pretty much all together and was really nice. We ordered desert but before it came there was a power cut which affected the whole village. The staff kept us well informed what was happening and when the power was restored we got our deserts and also a refund for them as a gesture which didn't need to be offered as it was through no fault of their own. Would definitely recommend”

“Used to enjoy this place. But went the other day for a a roast dinner are it was awful. Waited in a long que which was weird as the place wasnt busy, to get to the front to be asked to wait as the person cutting the food disappeared for a while. To then be given Barely any meat. The roast potatoes were rock hard to the point i couldnt put my fork in to them. Ended up leaving them on my plate. The stuffing was very hard dry and crumbly. I over heard someone referring to it as rubble. I got to the end for thr gravy to be empty. By the time the staff had replaced it my food was cold. The sauce bowls were empty but wasnt going to wait for them to be filled. I sat down and noticed our glasses wernt the cleanest. You could see dirt around the sides of the glass and feel it went you had a drink. Honestly this place has gone down hill.”
