Quick info
About The Union Inn
The Union Inn is a pub on Caernarfon Rd, on the outskirts of Bangor, set up for people who want to play as well as watch. A pool table with room around it and a dedicated darts section sit alongside the screens showing football and other sports, so a visit can mean a match, a game of darts, or both. Locals join in the darts, and regulars drink inside. Drinks are served on tap, with a selection to choose from. The pub is walk-in only. Dogs are welcome, so owners can bring their pets along.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the atmosphere, describing it as buzzing and busy, especially when football or darts is on, with friendly locals who welcome strangers. One visitor mentions a man with two dogs they were grateful to meet. Close behind are the games, with the pool table praised for having enough space and a good darts section, and several describe playing pool and darts alongside locals. A few add that the jokes about skill are fair, with one noting the locals are best joined "if you're any good." Drinks draw steady praise too, with a good selection on tap and reasonably priced pints, and the bar staff are called lovely and attentive. Several credit the landlord with keeping the place friendly. One reviewer calls it a little gem on the outskirts of Bangor, and another stopped in while travelling and was glad they did. No complaints appear in the reviews. Several say they would return, one after a weekend visit with friends.

“Still a great little pub. I have played darts there a good few times over the years as well as the odd visit for a pint and I honestly couldn't fault the place. Its cosy, got a good selection of drinks and the staff are lovely! Dave does a great job of keeping it friendly too! And the atmosphere during sports games is one the best I've experienced.”
