Customer Review Summary

The complaints are specific. Drinks orders back up when it is busy, so one reviewer says food arrives and the drink follows about an hour later, and another reports waiting over an hour with no resolution. Breakfast took 35 minutes for one diner, with parts of the order forgotten. Table ordering was called slow, with app times that did not match reality, and a few mention tables needing clearing. One reviewer had cold chips replaced with extremely hot ones, and another had a brownie arrive swimming in ice cream after sitting too long.

“Ordered breakfast, it usually takes about 15 minutes at other weatherspoons but here it took 35. They forgot parts of our order then we had to wait a further 10 minutes for them to fix it. The food was fine but if you want a quick breakfast I’d go elsewhere.”
  • Paul Morris
“Friendly staff and expected reasonably priced food and drinks. They seem particularly keen on checking IDs of young drinkers possibly because it's a university town. Food isn't cordon bleu but is decent for the price.”

“love spoons. When it’s busy there can be a big backlog of drinks orders so sometimes you get food and your drink doesn’t come for another hour. but ridiculous really but what can you do. Also ordered dessert several times only for my brownie to come swimming in ice cream because it’s been left for so long. not great but still nice”

“Nice Wetherspoons just off Bangor high street, good size with indoor and outdoor seating. Typical Wetherspoons menu. They were running behind on orders but still came out in good time.”
  • Dieter Pietersen
“One of the best Wetherspoons I’ve been to in the UK. Food was freshly made we were there at 11:30 in the morning so just at the start of the main menu opening. Staff was friendly. And we got served very quickly though it wasn’t extremely busy I’d say 50% full. The building is beautiful. And driving up on the little main road in front of the pub you wouldn’t say it was there. Unlikely to be in that area again any time soon as we’re from England, Hertfordshire. But if you’re around there, it’s worth giving it a go. We had the gourmet burger burgers and chicken wing sides and both were great.”
