  “Lovely bar/restaurant located in central Aberdeen. It is a large venue with inside and outside seating, but does not feel crowded. Food was very nice and there is a good menu selection. Good selection of drinks and cocktails. Staff were friendly and attentative. Will visit again.”

  “Beautiful place, great atmosphere however the food i’d not rate sadly. We had pil pil prawns for starter and that was lovely however went downhill from there. The steak was tough as old boots, the cookie with panacotta was so hard and so was the rhubarb. My daughter had to abruptly leave table to go to loo and was very sick. I said to waitress when paying that my daughter wa unwell being sick in loo but she replied “oh that’s a shame”. I said the food was very disappointing and basically she was not interested she said she’d let management know but probs hasn’t bothered. So yes lovely looking place, ambience good but won’t be back to eat. The lady on desk as you arrive was quite unwelcoming and sour faced too.”

  “Super ✨️ Booze brunch 🍹🧇 1️⃣ Very attentive, polite staff. 2️⃣ Tasty food 😋 and great cocktail selection.🍸🍹 3️⃣ Nice ambience [very important: with good extraction, because in most places in Aberdeen you end up smelling like the food you have just consumed]. Suggestion: I would add some classic 🎶 or lounge music on the background to get my 5/5. 🌟”

  “Enjoyed a Sunday brunch. Ample food choice. Freshly prepared and portion size was good. Selected Fried Buttermilk Waffle and Croque Madame Waffle from the Brunch menu. Both dishes were extremely tasty and filling. Large drinks menu to satisfy all tastes. Coffee to finish.”

  “Awesome!!! Great staff! Bar staff have some cracking banter and certainly know how to keep everyone happy and in order at the bar!! Service in the restaurant only lost one star as it was slap dash, but again young staff. Food was really good and came on hot plates which is my idea of heaven!! We were also late to sitting down, and late to leave the table but there was NO being rushed by the staff. Just a really chilled lunch with the family. One of the best wine lists I've seen out of a wine bar/steak house. I'll be back to work my way through that!!!”

  “The atmosphere at The Albyn was very nice — it has a fun, social vibe and the seating layout is spacious and comfortable, so you don’t feel crowded. It’s a lovely setting to spend time in, though we did notice the air felt a little chilly. The food, however, didn’t quite meet expectations. It was decent but nothing that stood out, and for the price we expected more. The rice in the rice and salmon dish was plain and slightly undercooked, while the beef rigatoni had very little pasta but a large amount of meat and vegetables — generous, but unbalanced and difficult to eat. What This Mama Drinks was also disappointing: the first version was made incorrectly and had to be remade, but even the corrected drink was too heavy on squash and left an unpleasant aftertaste. On the positive side, the poached pear pancetta was lovely. Service also fell flat. Staff were polite but not very attentive, food took a long time to arrive, and we noticed inconsistent care between tables. Overall, The Albyn has a great atmosphere, but the food and service didn’t live up to expectations.”

  “Popped in finally because I always thought it was too fancy for casual diners. Wrong. The place is welcoming and chilled. The service is excellent - Robert the Manager walked the room and helped at every opportunity. Prices we reasonable especially for the portions and quality - had the Tempura Prawns to start and Roasted Chicken in whiskey sauce for Main. Had a couple of glasses of wine and a rum Old Fashioned all for £67. Would go again. Apparetly Fridays a rammed - 300 covers in one night!”

  “We had the most amazing dinner. The ambience is rich, calm on a Wednesday evening and the portions are great! The staff are professional, helpful, and respectful. We are definitely going back for the burgers with an empty stomach because no doubt, it’ll be sinfully delicious! 🤤 Waiting a table is hard but they make it look easy. Big thank you to the lady that kept checking on us. Great value for money! 👏”

  “I celebrated my birthday on 21/02/2025, I had 33 guests for a dinner. It was absolutely amazing ! The staff was very professional, kind and patient, I had a private area to have my guests, the food was fresh and arrived on the table in the correct time. It was a lovely night in a very high standard restaurant. I recommend you have dinner and special celebrations in this restaurant! Absolutely spectacular 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽”

  “You know when you go to a restaurant and everything you eat hits the spot? This was one of those experiences. Everything was well seasoned and full of flavour. The calamari was perfectly fried, to the point it wasn't greasy. The beef was soft, and the vegetables were well roasted. I got a generous serving of gravy, too. The dessert was so good I could have eaten another two, even though I was pretty full. Chocolate bread and butter pudding with a rich chocolate ice cream. 10/10 and 100/100 for me with that dessert! You must check this place out if you're nearby.”
