  “We happened on this place walking around York with views of the minster a lovely place to have a meal ,it is Mainly small plates tapas feel, the food was exceptional ,the staff all excellent and know what they are doing ,as it is a wine bar as well the selection of wina also a winner,a place you should visit fantastic 😍”

  “I booked 22 Yards for my wife's birthday, and from the moment I made the reservation, the service was exceptional. I asked if it would be possible to have oysters and a glass of champagne waiting for us on arrival, as well as a window table overlooking York Minster, and the team kindly accommodated both requests. It made the evening feel really special from the outset. We ordered four small plates and two sides, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The concept is perfect for sharing, and the quality of the food was outstanding. The wine was equally impressive. We enjoyed an English sparkling wine, a Georgian orange wine, an oaky Argentinian red and finished with a sherry. Every recommendation was excellent, and it was clear the staff really knew their wines. Their knowledge and enthusiasm added so much to the experience without ever feeling pretentious. The location is hard to beat, with beautiful views of York Minster, and the atmosphere throughout the evening was relaxed, welcoming and lively. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, making us feel looked after from start to finish. Considering the quality of the food, the extensive wine selection and the overall experience, I thought it represented excellent value for money. This was one of the highlights of our trip to York, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend 22 Yards to anyone looking for fantastic food, exceptional wine and brilliant service. We'll definitely be back.”

  “A brilliant wine bar...with a selection of food. The wines here are hand picked and were exceptional! Only went in for one round and ended up staying for more. Ask the staff for there recommendations as they know what they are talking about. Loved it.”
