Northern Monk Refectory York is a taproom bar at 2-4 Little Stonegate in York, just off Stonegate. Eighteen keg beers are on tap, mostly Northern Monk's own with a few guest beers, and cask ale, natural wines, ciders and a cocktail menu run alongside them. Samples can be tried before choosing a pour. Slice Culture provides the food from Wednesday to Sunday, with pizza including a stone-baked pepperoni and a Margherita, and tater tots are on the menu. Food is ordered by QR code at the table or at the bar. Tables can be booked, and walk-ins are taken too. A private room and a small courtyard are bookable event spaces for groups and parties. Dogs are welcome.

“Booked out the private room and it was lovely for my party. All the staff were amazing and attentive. Pizza and tater tots are unreal! Was such a wonderful night! Was able to decorate and play my own music and afterwards the staff kindly tidied up the decorations.”

“Brilliant spot! Really love the relaxed atmosphere here. The pizza is brilliant and available five days a week (assume not Monday or Tuesday). They have a lot of beers available, other alcoholic beverages and plenty of soft drinks too. You can also buy beer and merch to take away. Really friendly staff. Very highly recommended!”
