  “I attended dusk last night and whilst the atmosphere was A1 the service was abhorrentingly disgraceful, I was disgusted, disturbed and outright enraged by the girl serving drinks. She came to the bar where I was stood and whilst making eye contact me began typing on her iPad, I took this as she was ready to serve and I said to her two margaritas please, in return she said “it’s not your f*****g turn yet”. Un real, never have I been spoken to like that and I won’t be returning to dusk, I think she needs some lesson on manners and customer service because it was bang out of order. Other than that was a pretty decent night”

  “We didn’t have food ….but sampled cocktails! Well, when they are 2-4-1, it would be rude not to! Lovely friendly service that made us feel welcome. We had the Graham Norton, O-Ren Ishii (photo1) and a Britney Spears (photo2) Great atmosphere in this busy and bustling bar! Will look forward to revisiting at some point when I am back in York.”

  “We just had an absolutely fabulous pizza. It was starting to drizzle rain so we made a snap decision to duck into Dusk for a light dinner. We ordered their mushroom pizza and it was one of the best thin crust pizzas I've ever had outside of Boston (which is where my favourite pizza is). They bill it as New York style but I only know Boston so that's my comparator. Ate it too fast for photos...”

  “One of the best bars in York. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Amazingly tasty pizza and some of the most reasonably priced cocktails in York. Thoroughly recommend for a night out.”

  “Lovely atmosphere with candle lit tables. Staff were friendly. We tried lots of drinks ranging from tea and coffee to cocktails. All really good and great value for money. We recommend the Milky bar kid cocktail as a dessert drink.”

  “My friend was refused entry. When asked why it was confirmed by the bouncer that it was because he was Jewish. The bouncer had two friends with him, they both followed my friend to the next bar and told him that he was not welcome in york because he belonged to the "terrorist state" my friend lives in the UK and has only ever lived here. I have a 57 second recording of the bouncer and his friends admitting they "do not care for jewish people"”

  “Visited dusk for the first time on Friday, super cute, dog friendly pub/bar. We used it as a base for a proper catch up with our northern bestie! Cocktails were super tasy and reasonably priced. My lil pooch enjoyed the cosy area by the window.”

  “This was the most chill and insanely interesting spot to drink at, the drinks (we had at happy hour 2 for the price of one cocktails) were phenomenal I recommend the Graham Norton 100% The bar staff were quite lovely and chill, and though I didn’t try the food it looks mind blowingly delicious! Fun names for cocktails is a big highlight though, a bit of a conversation starter. I recorded a moment at the place, to show others the vibes of locations I’ve traveled/visited and this was worth the moment indeed.”

  “This was one of my favourite bars as a student (long live the Milky Bar Kid) but this time around I was popping in to try their Crooked Slice pizza. I got a slice of Truffle Mushroom which really impressed me: sumptuous toppings on wonderfully soft sourdough.”

  “Lovely find, stumbled across it and glad we did. Excellent selection of beers, cocktails (including non alcoholic), even the flat white coffee was amazing, definitely not the Costa rubbish.”
