  “Visited for my first afternoon tea and baby shower yesterday (07.03.26) for my friends baby shower gathering and I was very impressed with the quality of food and service. Prior to the booking, I had made some enquiries to them to ask if I could change some of the sandwich fillings to be something different as I don't like cheese and I don't like mustard, and I asked if it would be possible to have a plain scone made for me instead of fruit ones as I don't like anything with currants/raisons etc in. They were very responsive and happy to accommodated my request. On the day of the gathering I was naturally anxious in case my request had been forgotten, but everything came right for me which was such a relief. The afternoon tea was £16 each; this included 8 triangle sandwiches (4 rounds of bread) some salad, a large scone, a chocolate tart, a lemon sponge cake, a strawberry mousse and tea/filter coffee. Portion size was excellent. The scone was absolutely amazing, tasted SO nice, one of the best I have ever had! All of the food was excellent quality, very fresh and home made, they had put a lot of care and attention in to it. Staff were very attentive, they checked in on us a good amount of times (we had our own private room) without being overbearing and were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. I also just wanted to add on to this that I visited a couple of days ago for breakfast on Easter Monday (06.04.26) and the staff were so accomodating with my booking. I only messaged them the day before in the evening to see if they had availability and considering they close at 3pm on Sundays and this was Easter Sunday I didn't expect to get a reply, but they were so responsive! They replied very quickly to confirm we were booked in and I then asked if we could sit in the carriage room as well if possible which I should have mentioned when I first messaged the. I thought it would be unlikely we would be able to sit in there giving the short notice, but again they replied to this very quickly and confirmed they had booked us into the carriage room! When we arrived the following day, there was a woman in front of us who had a booking (I think, but she may have just been a walk in) but was annoyed that she wasn't given a seat in the carriage room. I felt she was being quite unreasonable towards staff and I don't know why she assumed she would get a room in the carriage room, she was saying this wasn't stated on the website but seems quite obvious to me you would need to put in a request for this. Service was very prompt and the food was lovely! Delicious fried bread which is a stand out for me as not many places offer fried bread so it's lovely to be able to have this. Nice thick cut bacon and perfect fried eggs. All reasonably priced at £14.”

  “Met a friend here for lunch. It's a quirky place but for all that, the staff are friendly, the food is good and the vibe is lovely. It was busy when we went but we didn't have to wait long for our food. Overall it was a lovely time and is be happy to go again.”

  “First time visiting this place today and we were not disappointed. Great little cafe to visit. Good selection of food and drinks on the menu, plenty of seating available. All staff were very friendly and welcoming. Good efficient service and great food! Will definitely be returning again and would recommend to anyone seeking a quirky cafe.”
