About Lupo Lounge

Lupo Lounge is an eclectic restaurant at 12-13 Dudley St in Wolverhampton, with a mint-and-strawberry exterior strung with festoon lights. Inside, foliage wallpaper and Deco lighting run across two floors, and a large wolf feature stands behind the bar. The restaurant is open daily. The menu includes birria tacos, the Twisted Chicken Club Sandwich and a smashed avocado on toast for brunch, with separate gluten free and vegan menus. Diners order from the table by scanning a QR code, and the team brings food and drinks to them. The upstairs room can be hired Monday to Thursday for meetings, parties and receptions, and it holds groups of up to 50 people. The Lounge also hosts charity events under the name Lounge Aid.

Customer Review Summary

Complaints are specific. One breakfast reviewer reports a sausage sandwich with dry, cold toast and gristle, food that arrived stone cold, and cutlery and gum left on the floor and window ledge. Others describe a lightly toasted bread side with the baked camembert, a small smashed avocado portion for the price, a cold room, low benches, and the many stairs to the upstairs seating, which troubled one reviewer's less mobile mother. One diner was never asked about drinks.

“Lovely service, food and atmosphere. The place is beautiful and calming with nice music, and 2 floors with downstairs busy and upstairs quiet. Food was great, especially the sweet potato fries. Service was great too, the waitresses were helpful and kind.”

“We love a lounge and we think we’ve found our favourite one! It has all the typical touches of a Lounge, but it actually has something related to the area which is the massive wolf behind the bar. (Others may have stuff but I’ve never noticed.) Staff were friendly and accommodating. No long wait times, they were really efficient with service. We shared Sangria which was presented well - even with the fruit like how a Sangria should be! For food we had, Twisted Chicken Club Sandwich and Birria Tacos with Black Bean and Sweetcorn. Both incredibly nice dishes! They do a lot for charity through their Lounge Aid events which is brilliant. Loads of seating both upstairs and downstairs and of course - dog friendly!”

“I'm absolutely in love with the vibe and interior deco of this place. The food is great (the chocolate brownie and ice cream was stunning), the staff are super lovely and helpful. I haven't had a bad experience ✨️”

“Lovely food served at lunch time. Sat upstairs which is quiet as it was a Wednesday lunch time. Staff friendly and food served in good time. I had a Chicken Shawarma Mezze Bowl which was delicious. Food ordered using the QR code on the table which was easy enough to do”

“Great service. Food choice is fab. Been a few times and the soup choice has been quite strange flavours. The cheese toastie is delicious though. Had a 30 minute wait for lunch before which was quote pong but usually service is much quicker. I miss the watermelon iced tea they used to do too. When busy downstairs is full so have to go upstairs which is alot of stairs, which troubles my mother who is less mobile. So think there needs to be some control on who sits where. Love that theres alot water available on both floors.”

Good to know

“Lupo Lounge is in the middle of Dudley Street right in the centre of Wolverhampton. If we say it ourselves, we’re rather a handsome beast, from from the mint-and-strawberry festoon-lit spectacular exterior and terrace through to the fabulous foliage wallpaper and Deco lighting inside, where we serve a great range of food and drinks including full kids, gluten free and vegan menus. Our lovely, bright and airy upstairs space can be hired Monday - Thursday for meetings, parties, receptions, community groups and pretty much anything else, for up to 50 people. No deposit required; get in touch and we’ll give you all the details.”
