Customer Review Summary
The complaints are mostly about execution and service. One breakfast table believes its order was forgotten because later arrivals were served first. A group of 13 who had pre-booked found nothing set up, felt the two young staff were unwelcoming and moved outside, where the tables were cluttered with plates and glasses. A collection order brought a butter chicken curry with only four small pieces of chicken and a paneer wrap that tasted reheated. Others found the naan thick and not charred enough, the side salad thrown together, and the halloumi fries not as expected.

“Ordered a butter chicken pizza, butter chicken curry, egg fried rice and paneer naan wrap for collection. Staff were nice and welcoming. Pizza was delicious, especially with the butter chicken sauce (albeit watered down) Paneer wrap tasted like it had been reheated and thrown in the wrap. And the grand finale: 4 small pieces of chicken in the entire curry. A huge shame considering it tasted good.”

“Ill start with the positive. The food was excellent, piping hot and tasty. There were 13 of us and pre booked. We arrived, nothing was set up. The 2 girls didn't seem bothered about anything and they didn't have a smile or a good word between them, so unwelcoming! The gentleman was lovely and he sorted things, so I assume he he the owner. We then we t outside as no aircon. The tables were dirty and plates, glasses everywhere. Disappointed overall.”

“First time visiting Canalside - had such a lovely experience. Food was amazing, staff was exceptional, great atmosphere. As mentioned food was amazing but omg the lamb curry was cooked to perfection and so tender. Definitely visit again. Thx guys”

“Went there today for breakfast. Firstly, plenty of parking and a really good location. Being able to eat our food right next to the canal was really great and the fact that it was filling up as we were there is a testament to the genuine quality and good taste of the food. The breakfast we had was delicious and very reasonably priced. The paranthe are huge, you're almost getting two in one. The waiting staff were genuinely nice and helpful, however, the only issue was that the food took way too long to be served. I think they genuinely forgot to make our order as people who had arrived well after us were getting their food first, which was rather annoying and it did put a bit of a damper on an otherwise very good experience. So that's why it's not 5*, which it would have been had it not been for this mishap. Will definitely be back for more and would recommend to others too.”

“Halloumi fries did not looked like Halloumi fries. Veg noodles tastes nice, but wasn't noodles it was made out of spaghetti. Fish and fish cooked perfectly. Curry sauce can be added on request. Which was absolutely delicious. Cocktails were incredible. Over all, nice place to eat.”
