  “Absoloute joke. Waited 40 mins on a tuesday for a simple order nothing was ready chips were uncooked.asked for a large mixed meat and chips got a small portion and was not fresh at all. Spent over £40 and it was the biggest waste of money it used to be the best chippy now turned into a shit show.”

  “A good chip shop. A wide choice of food and cold drinks available. Food is freshly prepared, hot and tasty. Shop has plenty of room inside and couple of seats if you are waiting for your order. Parking outside can be busy at times due to other shops, a cafe and a Chinese. Located at the end of the Penn road. Staff are friendly and helpful.”

  “Amazing especially if your coeliac on Tuesdays and Saturdays they offer gluten free options. Where batter is completely fine and got separate fryers and also separate workspace and also packaging paper as well separate. The staff are very lovely too !!!”

  “Gone right downhill, service is poor. Can wait 10 to 15 min just for sausage and chips. Literally just been in , completely missed off a large sausage. Delivery food gets priority everytime”

  “Always used this chip shop but last nights food was worse chip shop meal we have ever had. We asked for 1 mixed meat kebab and mixed meat and chips... server got the order wrong in the first instance ... the pitta bread was stale, salad wasn't fresh and chips under cooked. Under staffed. We won't be going again!”

  “We have used chipstop for many years. Always had great food but tonight's food was the probably the worst fish and chips I've ever had. Period. Firstly my Mother waited 50 mins for the food...and the manager had the cheek to offer a bottle of coke in condolence? Terrible service! Then the chips were full of oil, disgusting and heavy. The doner kebab was dry with no flavour. Fish was tasteless. You missed out multiple things from the order including salads, sauces and curry sauce. I don't think we will be coming here again. Certainly gone downhill. Not impressed at all!!”

  “Firstly, i want to say that up until December, the food was great even though albeit the prices were too high. recently, i went to chip stop fir a meal for me and my 2 kids. i ordered a large chips and a southern fried chicken piece and a kids nugget meal. the chips were very hard and once bitten quite dry for 2.80. i could've bought a bag of potatoes and made way more chips that are way fresher than what i experienced. now the nuggets were terrible. they were slightly pink inside and cold through but i pout this down to the amount of people waiting to be served and the rush they are all in. the southern fried chicken was 60 percent black fatty bits 30 percent bone and 10 percent chicken and £3.50 again i could buy a good quality 2-3 pieces that i can guarantee are not fatty and bone. i have a busy life as a care worker and i don't need the added stress of paying almost 10 pound for a meal that is cold, fatty and raw. the arrogance of the staff when i tried to get a refund. they obviously are in it for the profit not the customer service. i'm appalled at the sheer lack of care for anything and wont be paying your overpriced prices any more. you have lost a valued customer because of the obvious pound signs in your faces”
