  “I often come here with friends or family. The food is genuinely nice, and the staff are normally welcoming, serving good portions. The only issue we often seem to run into is the lack of seats and chairs within the café itself, even with some seating outside — especially when the back end of the café is being used as a function room for something else. I noticed a lot of others yesterday struggling to find a spot to sit down and eat when they had come for a set hot meal. Maybe extending the outside tables and chairs would be a better alternative than the ones currently set up, to help when things get busy so that it doesn’t put customers off returning.”

  “Asked to use the toilet and was told no unless we bought something, we said we understood but it was for a toddler that is potty training and was told no and told to use the public toilets across the park. Would’ve been happy to buy something if she hadn’t been so rude about it.”

  “Terrible person in charge very rude and the other member of staff no better. I asked if we can pay by cash and got told “NO” I a rude manner ( I could last week) the kids had there own pocket money and wanted a ice cream and I only had cash so the all went off crying. Love the park but will never use or recommend the cafe again. I had to give a star to share this but if I could it would be minus.”

  “The place was empty apart from one customer waiting for their order, got served straight away. I moved ti the table area to wait for my order. It started to fill up very quickly, long queue. Anyway customer before me recieved their order and left. After a 15 minute wait a kitchen staff came out with my order. As I approached her she said it wasn't my order. She then tried to give it to my friend who hadn't ordered anything. I told her this but she refused to acknowledge me asking till staff who was next. I was the only one waiting after I'd paid. She told me it wasn't mine, which it clearly was and continued to give it to my friend. Then she told me to wait while she started talking to another customer. The food was placed on a table in front of my friend but she had the wooden fork and sauces in her hand which she had raised up. I don't know what that was about but by this time I was getting fed up with her sheer ignorance so I picked up my order, took the sauces from her explaining that I just want my order so I can leave and then she can continue with her conversation. I've never known anything like it and I definitely won't be going back”

  “Based on the information here we drove over for lunch. Turns out they close at 2.30 on Tuesdays and Thursday in the winter months - and by 2.00 they’d stopped serving hot food. The clean up had started and they’d mopped and closed the back room, leaving two tables in the entrance which were already taken. A kind lady let us share her table. The food came and a little old lady came out of the kitchen with three black bags of waste and dropped them besides our table. We mentioned the incorrect info on the website and she posted to a sign on the wall with the correct times, which of course you’d only see when you turned up. And that was wrong also - said they were open until 3.30. I particularly liked the menu info - ‘All Day Brunch’ - served until 12.00pm! We ate quickly and left, the lady with the black bags following us out to throw them in the bins. A big disappointment and won’t be back. We had a snack and tea each - £13. Can’t see them surviving.”

  “Wonderful place 🤗 Each member of staff so kind and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Such a lovely setting that is a jewel for Wolverhampton. Long may it continue to provide such an essential service to the borough in increasingly stressful times. Well done all staff, you're all amazing 🤗❤️”

  “Came in rather late in the day when there was no food left and instead of turning me away they freshly cooked what I ask for. Also the bacon and sausage are incredibly nice! I have no clue what's special about them but it definitely isn't your normal run of the mill breakfast! Brilliant service, brilliant food, brilliant location. 10/10!”

  “Arrived at 2.30pm, the lady that served us was lovely and asked if we wanted China or take away cups, all was well. At 2.40 another lady started cleaning the floors around us and bringing in signage boards from outside. From 2.50pm we were being harassed to leave. She told us they were closing soon and she wanted to clear up to leave and go home! The sign says it closes at 4.30pm but there is a addage that during the winter months it closes at 3.30pm. Another couple came in at this time and were served coffees without bother so we also purchased another, but while serving us we were yet again told they were closing. No sooner had taken our cups to the table the lady came to clear our cups! At 5 minute intervals she came back to our table to inform us yet again they were closing. We left at 3.20pm feeling we had actually been thrown out! Now if we were rowdy youths or making a nuisance of ourselves I would accept that we probably deserved this harassment, but we are 3 old ladies who wanted a cup of coffee and chat after a park walk. If you are hoping for a warm welcome and service with a smile STAY AWAY. Absolutely appalling behaviour by just 1 member of staff.”
