Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly staff, who are described as welcoming, helpful with the menu and great with kids. Food draws solid praise too: the Buffalo chicken burger, a duo roast of beef and turkey with a great helping of potatoes and vegetables, a mini Camembert and a dessert one diner called delicious. Several mention good value, deals on the app and a free beer for dads on Fathers Day. Others call it a pleasant spot for catching up with friends, watching the sports and popping in for a pint and a light meal, though one reviewer calls the food cheap, basic and pre-prepared. Slow service is the recurring complaint. A group on the festive menu found everything slow even though the pub did not seem overly busy. One diner who ordered at 12.05 waited until 1pm, found the food mediocre, and felt the noise made things worse. Another was refunded after the app let them order while the kitchen was closed, and described the bar staff response as rude.

“I turned up with a client who suffers with dementia and we ordered food at 12.05. We sat and waited and waited. At 1pm the food turned up. My client was very unhappy and snapped at the bar staff. Food was mediocre. Service was extremely slow. When i questioned how long food would be I was told there was a wait of 40-50 mins. If we had been told this at the start of placing an order, my client would have decided to go somewhere else. It was very loud in there which aggravated him even more. I did apologise to the staff for his impatience. They also apologised about the slow service”

“Kim was an excellent bartender and waitress. She was caring, attentive, and highly efficient throughout our visit. She made sure everything was taken care of promptly and provided friendly, professional service. Her positive attitude and attention to detail made for a great experience. Thank you, Kim”

“This is the 3rd time of coming to The Three Frogs. Every time has been really enjoyable. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and are great with kids. The service was very prompt and the food was delicious - particularly the Buffalo chicken burger which was really tasty. The pub has a nice atmosphere, lots of people of all ages and great facilities both inside and outside. For Fathers Day, they gave all Dad's a free beer on the house which was a lovely gesture. Looking forward to returning soon.”

“Pub garden was nice but terrible experience. We were able to order food on the app even though the kitchen was closed which caused a whole problem and meant we had to be refunded. Also waited ages for the food that actually arrived to the table. The lady at the bar I spoke to about the app issue was very rude and had too much attitude when it was the pubs fault NOT ours. Food was well below average too. Won’t be returning.”
