About Weymouth Bay Coffee Co

Weymouth Bay Coffee Co is a daytime cafe at Lodmoor in Weymouth, built around cooked breakfasts that anchor the menu. The kitchen sends out plates such as the breakfast stack and Eggs Benedict, with gluten free and vegan choices including GF sausages and GF toast. Coffee comes with alternative milks, oat lattes among them, and milkshakes run alongside in flavours like the Crunchie bar. Tables outside open up seating in the fresh air, and dogs are welcome at them. High chairs, along with toys, books and colouring, make space for families with young children, while a step-free entrance serves visitors with mobility needs. There is no booking, so guests arrive and order at the counter. Opening runs daily during the day, with no evening service. The site sits across from the Sea Life Centre.

Customer Review Summary

Breakfast is what draws the most repeat praise here, with several describing hot, well cooked plates delivered promptly and one family singling out the enormous breakfast stack after abandoning the hotel next door. Close behind come the drinks, an Aeromint milkshake one visitor recommends outright, giant crunchie bar milkshakes the kids go for, and oat milk lattes, alongside a breakfast wrap and rainbow cake. Reviewers also mention toys, books and colouring laid out for children, and one gluten and dairy free diner notes GF sausages, GF toast and alternative milks provided without fuss. The dissent is narrower but specific: one visitor calls it an average greasy spoon, reporting a forgotten drinks order, coffee that arrived cold and bitter, an unseasoned Eggs Benedict sitting in a small pool of grease, and pricing that felt steep, though others describe the pricing as sensible. Another notes it can get noisy when children or weekend groups fill the room, and suggests picking times accordingly.

“After doing parkrun we popped into the Weymouth Bay Cafe for a drink. The place was very busy but the service was good. We had an Aeromint Milkshake which was absolutely amazing and highly recommend this drink. Can't wait to return for another.”
  • Daniel Clarke
“Just an average greasy spoon. Waiter forgot we ordered drinks and needed reminding. When they arrived, the cold coffee was extremely bitter, Possibly over extracted. Food wasn't too bad, but my plate had a small pool of grease which was a bit off putting and wasn't seasoned (Eggs Benedict). It's a bit pricey for what it is.”
  • Samantha Stapleton
“Food was amazong and staff are super friendly and go above and beyond for you. Highly recommend this place 10/10”
  • Chris Branch
“Many visits and we still revel in the quality of food. Breakfast, Lunches, coffee and the kids love the milkshakes. I am gluten and dairy free and without fuss they provide a super tasty breakfast (sausages GF, vegan options, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes delicious, GF toast and alternative milks. All provided with smiles and friendliness.”

“Lovely staff, sensible pricing. Absolutely delicious food. Don't miss your chance for some good grub. I don't drink coffee but based on the reactions of people ordering I bet it's great. Highly recommend.”
