Customer Review Summary
The complaints carry real weight. Several say the cafe survives on its view alone and describe the food as frozen chips, tinned hotdogs and vegetable burgers made mostly of smash style potato, with one waiting more than 20 minutes for those burgers and another half an hour for a bacon sandwich. Others object to extras charged separately, such as sauce sachets and onions, and to an ice cream with no sauce available. Staff are repeatedly called rude or unfriendly. One reviewer describes a cream tea served with a cup of tea instead of a pot and hot water given begrudgingly. Another says a request to cancel a delayed order and get a refund was met with swearing. One reviewer notes there are no vegan options.

“If you want a fabulous location this place delivers. If you want good food at good value and good service …. not so much.”

“3.30 for a large ice cream. Was expecting a large cone with ice cream. It was a normal cone with normal ice cream . Asked for sauce they said they do not do it. The staff was rude and not helpful at all.”

“Do not visit this place. After half hour wait for a bacon sandwich we had the temerity to ask how long . We were told 10 to 15 minutes in an extremely aggressive and hostile manner complete with swearing when we asked to cancel order and a refund. Horrible man. Terrible service. I don't know how it stays in business”

“Ordered x2 Cola's x2 hotdogs ×1chips. £19 Was then told it was an extra £3 for onions 10p for a red sauce sachet and no mustard available. The chips were frozen chips and the hotdogs were out of a tin or jar. Wouldn't recommend this place at at all especially as the old bloke is ignorant and rude.”

“Absolutely agree that they are surviving on location alone. The worst most miserable but expensive cream tea we have ever had and a miserable cup of tea instead of a pot. Had to ask twice for a cup of hot water which was given eventually very begrudgingly. A young lad came round to take the sun umbrellas (a booling hot day)down even though they had another 45 minutes till closing as if they were trying to get rid of or put new customers off. Had a similar experience last year but we were hoping it had changed to more customer friendly hands. Sadly not. A good place to miss!”
