  “Always had great customer service over phone & food delicious.Unfortunataly tonight chinese woman who answered phone was very rude as i asked her to slow down so i could place my delivery then heard her on phone i have a rude customer.Never been rude over the phone or in a shop.Use them all the time.Don't see why i asked her to slow down before i finished ordering to be called a rude customer??”

  “Service OK but food horrid. All the meat products were tough, difficult to chew and inedible. The chop suey had so much MSG that it looked like lumpy wallpaper paste and was totally unappetising. Shrimp fried rice was fine. 75% of the meal was thrown away, therefore, very poor value for money. Finally, we were charged 25% more for the delivery than quoted and we'd never recommend this Chinese takeaway to anyone as it was the worst chinese food we've ever eaten.”

  “Great chips and the homemade fish cake was 👌🏼! . The male manager says he gets mixed reviews on his mood but I thought he was funny and he gave me some free bits for the end of the night. Seems I have a new local 😂”

  “The WORST Chinese takeaway we’ve ever had, actually just the worst takeaway overall that we’ve ever had! Awful waste of money. I don’t know who’s doing the cooking but it was terrible, the beef dish looked like it had been cooked in slime!”

  “Been here a few times and cannot fault the food at all, fish & chips is always good!! But decided to change things up a bit and ordered a Chinese on Friday and by far the best Chinese I’ve had in a very long time!! Very reasonable and portion sizes are well worth it (nothing beats cold Chinese leftovers the day after!!) Would recommend calling ahead if you want to collect as can be very busy; but you’re not waiting for too long normally anyway. Will definitely be ordering from here again soon & will recommend to anyone who wants a good Chinese!”

  “Telephone food order to Welwyn, took 1 hour 20 mins to arrive, I called after an hour to be told “it’s on its way” Food was quite hot, chips were chunky chip shop chips and really nice, plain chow mein tasted of fish, chicken balls had too much batter and not much chicken, the batter was so thick it wasn’t cooked in the middle, very doughy as seen in photo, sesame toast was really greasy too. Cash only, may have used again if I could have used my business bank card, so probably won’t use again. Dissapointed.”

  “Great local takeaway. The food is freshly made, served reasonably quickly and so flavourful. The menu offers lots of options and they are always busy - quality food at its best. My favourite Chinese food in Hertfordshire 💯”

  “This was the first time we used Hoy Che and I can definitely say it was the best food ever, there was a little mistake as regards to something not being delivered, but it was professionally sorted out! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! The food was hot, tasty and the fish is delicious 😋”

  “The best Chinese take away in Welwyn Garden City. Extensive menu, good portion sizes, and fair price. All the dishes that we have tried have been very tasty. Meat is plentiful and tender. The fish and chips are also very nice - the batter is crispy and not greasy and the fish is soft. The chips are amazing. It is the best chip shop in the area. Staff are friendly. Pre-order by phone to minimise waiting time. Highly recommend!”

  “Menu prices out of date. Almost £10 more than I expected. Taste was below par: bland sauces, sesame toast like a brick, duck tough, pork tasted old and tired. Disappointing - never again.”
