Quick info
About wagamama stevenage
Wagamama Stevenage is a restaurant at Unit 8 in Stevenage, part of a brand that opened its first site in Bloomsbury, London, in 1992. The format takes its cue from fast-paced Japanese ramen bars, and the menu draws on flavours from across Asia. Seating is on communal benches, the same format the brand described at its first opening, and it invites diners to simply grab a bench when they arrive. The Soul Club rewards program is available for returning guests who want to collect rewards on their visits.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out friendly, attentive servers, with several describing staff who went above and beyond. One checked an egg's country of origin for a table full of odd questions, and another helped resolve a Soul Club rewards problem with a manager's backing. The edamame is named as a hit every time, and the food is called great or nice by several diners. Close behind is the atmosphere, described as a great vibe, though a few find it noisy on the long tables. One party asked to move from a cold window seat and was helped instantly. The main complaint comes from repeat visitors who describe inconsistent service: meals arriving cold, orders mixed up, dishes coming out so late that friends had finished eating, and drinks showing up halfway through the meal while staff stand around. One reviewer describes rude staff, and another found the bill high for a group of five. Even so, one diner gave five stars after a manager put right something that fell short.

“I went to this restaurant hopping to have a great time but it was completely the opposite. Was a terrible experience by being witness of how the staff treated another client by accusing of not paying the previous time he went. I could see he was totally embarrassed and proof them the bill was paid but the staff was so rude!!. Seeing that is so SCARY that tomorrow they can do the same to another customer. Never in my life will I return to a place that does that and the RUDENESS is totally unacceptable on a place that deals with clients. They don't deserve even a star. Please be careful because next time can be another client.”

“I cannot recommend this Wagamamas enough. It has become my favourite restaurant of all time. Feeling sad? Wagamama. Happy? Wagamama. Reason to celebrate? Wagamama! Amazing food, wonderful service and the edamame hits everytime. Shoutout to Mia who was my server, helpful, friendly and overall amazing service. I would say will definitely be re-visiting but as you probably gathered from this review, you already know that. 5 stars 🌟”

“The food was great! Me and my friend had a great experience, I had some technical issues claiming rewards on soul club but thanks to Mia with the assistance of her manager Jake my situation was resolved fully. Thank you both Mia & Jake!”

“We have been to several Wagamama locations but this one has been the best experience all round. The staff were very attentive and the restaurant itself had a great atmosphere and vibe. The 5 star rating achieved was through the professional manner the manager Holly conducted herself in putting right something we thought was not to the required standards. Holly was friendly and happy whilst being professional and is a credit to the company.”
