Customer Review Summary
Friendly, welcoming staff come up most often, with several reviewers describing a warm greeting, checks during the meal and a feeling of being at home. Food praise runs close behind. Diners single out the Dan dan noodles with pork paired with an espresso martini, a chicken, bacon and avocado salad, a mediterranean mezze grill, and cocktails like the cherry fakewell and strawberry limonchello spritz. Reviewers also mention a relaxed setting with atmospheric lighting, a varied menu with vegan options, and choices for pickier kids. A tuna melt toastie was called tasty, though one reviewer found the tuna and mayo pasty, with no red onion in sight. The harsher feedback centers on a family breakfast, where triple stacked buttermilk pancakes were described as soggy, as if microwaved, and portions were called small. A request for table water was answered with a suggestion to help themselves downstairs, and a hot chocolate arrived without the marshmallows and cream ordered.

“I popped in for lunch during a shopping trip, waited to be seated and a male staff member told me I could sit where I wanted. I tried to order from the table but couldn't see a table number. I ordered a large house white wine and a tuna melt toastie at the bar. I waited about 15 minutes for the toastie so knew it was made fresh. It was a large sourdough toastie filled with a lot of tuna mayo but the tuna flakes had formed a kind of paste with the mayo so that individual pieces of fish couldn't be identified. I prefer a drier tuna mayo, more tuna, less mayo. There was meant to be red onion inside too but I couldn't see any. The toastie was covered in parmesan style cheese shavings. It was nice and it was tasty but I recall having a tuna melt at a different restaurant in this chain in Huntingdon which had salad and tortilla chips on the side with a slice of gherkin within the toastie itself, which was lovely. This toastie didn't have any of that and could do with something like a small salad with it. However, I still enjoyed it. The staff were pleasant and friendly and the decor and lighting are atmospheric. The menu is varied so there is something for most tastes. There is a vegan menu available too.”

“Came in with my sister, child and baby on a Tuesday for dinner, great choices for pickier kids or ones that enjoys a variety of foods. Friendly welcoming staff that make you feel comfortable. Great food and drinks options, mocktails and cocktails ( recommend the cherry fakewell and strawberry limonchello spritz) good vibes and relaxed setting. Decent price for a nicer sit down option without being "fancy" inclusive for a variety of tastes, allergies and families, solo dates, couple dates and friend groups. Been a few times for solo brunch, morning catch ups and family dinner. 100% recommended 😊”
