Customer Review Summary

Weddings are the most frequent draw at Three Lakes, with couples describing outdoor ceremonies overlooking the lakes, photos in the grounds, and the Arched Barn as a backdrop. They say the events team made the planning smooth and the day went without a hitch, and one couple chose the BBQ buffet, which went down a treat with guests. Close behind, diners praise the restaurant itself, naming the lamb shank and a cream tea with scones that one reviewer called to die for, plus large, tasty portions. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, and several mention the stunning views across the lakes, with a red kite sometimes spotted overhead. A few reviewers raise reservations. One finds the food ok and wants a bread choice beyond sourdough, calls the coffee not great, and questions cleanliness and the look of the outdoor covered area. Another finds the food slightly expensive, and one missed outdoor dining because of rain. One reviewer notes the restaurant accommodated a party of 7 and welcomed their dog, and another returned after the wedding clear-down for lunch on the patio in the sunshine.

“Had our wedding there yesterday! Such an amazing day! Venue is brilliantly set out for your event. The staff are incredible and really nice to talk to. Helped us with majority of our planning and helped out throughout the day offering drinks to myself and my wife. Thank you Mel and Kerry for an absolutely amazing experience!”

“We have been here a few times. The service is good and views are great. The food is ok, reasonably priced but could be improved, need a bread choice rather than just sour dough. Coffee not great. Not so sure about cleanliness and feel the outdoor cover area needs smartening up. This could be a great place with a few tweaks”

“Beautiful setting with a very nice view. The food is quality even if slightly on the expensive side. Staff are really friendly and offer a great service. Well worth dropping in for a cuppa. The views across the lakes are stunning. Might even see one of the red kites that likes to fly about.”
