Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers come for private functions, with a 40th birthday, a wedding celebration, a retirement party, a family get-together and an end-of-season football event all hosted in the pub's rooms. The buffet is the detail raised most often, alongside a DJ at one birthday party, and hosts are described as helpful and as taking the stress out of organising. Several recommend the venue for any function. Close behind is the welcome from friendly staff, with one reviewer calling the managers lovely. Regular drinkers add that it is a great place for a pint, and one visitor found the brewery-linked bitter gorgeous in a historic, dog friendly pub with a roaring fire. Others mention a pool table, tribute band evenings and a new food menu they call great. One driver with a blown tyre says staff told them not to worry about leaving the car overnight.
