  “A ‘proper’ Sunday roast, which isn’t always easy to find these days. Really good food, & wonderful friendly service at a stunning pub in a lovely village. Oksana looked after us very well. Such a friendly, cheerful lady. We will return.”

  “Absolutely incredible meal! Went to celebrate my Nan’s birthday with family and the staff went above and beyond. Food was extraordinary and a good selection of different food for different preferences/requirements. Staff were happy to help and really lovely. Will be going back and eagerly waiting the next visit. Highly recommend 🌟”

  “Wonderful pub. Lunched there today , did not book ( they prefer bookings as it gets busy) welcomed in , and had a great lunch, efficient, friendly, super food and good beer, all in a wonderful atmosphere and in a beautiful village. Well worth a visit , (as there is precious little in nearby Wantage), but it’s a gem . Do not miss it, only a short way off the main road but clearly signed. Thanks very much! 6 months later: back there for lunch , and well worth it! Still lovely staff and owner with great service and wonderful surroundings.”

  “Made to feel very welcome when we entered as others have said. This was my second visit and again this was for lunch. Food is excellent and the service matches this. Prices are very reasonable X5 adults having starters and mains for £170 including drinks. It was full on our previous two visits so you will need to book ahead. Overall excellent.”
