About The Flowing Well
The Flowing Well is a pub on Sunningwell in Abingdon, set in an old village building with antique furniture throughout. Real ales sit alongside a menu built around gourmet burgers. For sharing, the kitchen puts out a steak platter for two. The menu also lists fish and chips and a chicken and chorizo pie, and gluten free onion rings are available for those avoiding gluten. Food is served all day, so a meal does not have to fit a fixed lunch or dinner window. Coffee is served after meals.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the food, with the steak for two, the fish and chips, and the chicken and chorizo pie named as highlights. One calls the steak superb, another rates the fish and chips possibly the best they have had, and the burger and gluten free onion rings also earn praise alongside the range of gluten free options. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and helpful, and the old building, village setting and outdoor seats get a calm, country side mention. The complaints are specific. One diner found the steak platter tough enough to need a steak knife and thought the price too high for a limited menu, while another liked the steak but called the coffees not very nice and expensive. A parent with a 4-year-old was refused a table at around 3:00 pm on the grounds that everything was reserved, despite many empty tables, and was told to sit outside in the cold until another customer offered to share their table near the bar.
