  “The best mixed grill in the Midlands! I’ve been coming to Champy’s for over 10 years now and it never disappoints. You have to order the Champy’s Grill, crispy wings, and the lamb curry - absolutely top tier and very fairly priced. 🔥 Jag behind the bar is great, and Nav always takes brilliant care of us in the restaurant area. Drinks are very reasonably priced, too. I’ve brought so many people here over the years, whether they’re visiting from abroad or elsewhere in the UK - and every single one agrees… This place is an absolute must-visit!”

  “Would have been nice to pick were we wanted to sit. Overall Food was great, staff were extremely busy (Saturday evening) but still polite, smiling and was patient when taking our order. Maybe she could have explained were things were (salt, pepper & sauces) We had a medium platter. And chips. Chips were on the small side. Sorry I didnt take a picture. We were hungry. But theres one of my cocktail. Enjoy! Can't wait to go back!”

  “Prices were reasonable, place is clean and not crammed together like some places. Food was reasonably good, just a bit too salty. Staff were all friendly however inattentive. Had to ask for the table to be cleared twice, and left a cake with them as we were there to celebrate a birthday. Brought the cake out before clearing the table of main course plates etc, then had to ask several minutes later for plates to eat the cake off. If they can get the wait staff paying more attention and being proactive with clearing, checking in etc then that would be a massive improvement.”

  “We go to a lot of bar and grill restaurants and this was our first time trying this place as my uncle lives nearby and recommended it. Called to book a table but was told they dont take bookings on a Friday, only walk ins. We arrived and was given a table for 5, so no problem in getting seated. Not a fan of the heavy metal chairs to be honest! A decent choice of drinks at the bar and something for everyone. A lady came over to take our order but we were still undecided so asked for some more time and poppadoms to start with. We were advised that they dont do poppadoms! Not the end of the world but my girls love poppadoms as part of their meal and I felt it was strange that they didnt do them. We ordered: 1 x Krispy wings 2 x cheese naan 1 x chilli naan 1 x chicken curry 1 x chicken jalfrezi 2 x steamed rice 1 x chicken naan (hot) 1 x champeys chicken 2 x chilli chips 1 x kids nuggets and chips All food was fresh and tasted really good. Im really fussy with chicken but it was really tender. Overall a nice evening, however, its not somewhere for a relaxing meal as its quite loud in there and had a bit of a manic atmosphere.”

  “Really disappointed with yesterday’s visit, place is extremely noisy and sitting is not comfortable at all,parking area is large,which is only good thing I noticed. Food was ordered, they took order for starters and mains together , we ordered mixed grill for starters and chicken tikka masala, chilli chicken and achari lamb,garlic naan etc. food came out all at once after 20-25minutes of waiting. So either you enjoy your starters or you jump on mains. Tried masala fish full of salt,oil smell and overpowering cumin in fish. Chicken pieces were very dry. onions were burnt caramelised.chicken tikka masala was very salty which was replaced when we told the waitress with 3pieces of chicken and very watery gravy. Portions are small according to price and atmosphere. Wings were extremely burnt and lamb shish kebab were very dry.they don’t cut naan into pieces or put them on paper or anything straight naan on small place hanging onto the table or serving trays. We didn’t finish the food and went to another restaurant to get some decent food.staff looked very depressed and their uniforms looked very dirty, the only East Asian girl who listened to our salty food issue had little smile on her face. Won’t recommend this place if you want to go as family to enjoy the evening,it’s place if you’re looking to waste your money.”

  “Great experience at Champy's. Visited on a Sunday with a few of my friends for curry and a catch up. Great selection of food to choose from on the menu - including a variety of vegetarian/vegan options. We opted for a curry and the food was very delicious! Portion sizes were ample and dishes were reasonably priced. Generous sized venue, clean with a nice outside area. Atmosphere was relaxed and played some nice music. I only knocked off a star because my friends food came out 5 minutes later than everyone else's and would have been nice to have them all out together. Other than that, I will defo be returning!”

  “Food was ok. The grill is standard as were the curries. The crispy wings however are the star of the show! Also the lamb chops and fish were quite tasty. Huge variety of drinks not found at your local, some really nice beers, whiskies and rums. I woukd recommend this place. Great atmosphere and good parking, also take card payment.”

  “Visited this place for the second time. Atmosphere was amazing, food was good, we enjoyed the lamb chops, the spicy wings and spicy mogo chips for starters and the goat curry and rice was tasty for mains. Service was alright. Great choice of beers on tap with plenty of variety to choose from. Plenty of large screen tv’s showing the live sports. Overall I recommend this place and will be back in the future! 😊”

  “This is a very unusual venue. It’s like a huge pub but an Indian restaurant. Sort of. Firstly, the car park is huge. Oddly huge. There is an enticing smell of Indian food. Secondly, from the outside it looks like a pub with with restaurant features, like glass double doors at the entrance. Then, when you go in it is like a pub with a bar but people are eating Indian food at chairs & tables, and then there are huge sports screens. It seems to work. Feels like a locals place with regulars. A pint of Asahi was only £5.20, which was cheap, though you do have to pay for your food as you order it from the waitress. A bit odd. The staff are very friendly and the food is pretty good. Not great, but good. I do t know what the two bottles of sauce were and I have no idea if the car park will result in a fine. I’d go back, I think.”
