Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the lamb shank, praised as wonderful and recommended outright by one reviewer, with the sea bass close behind. Others mention the beetroot and lentil wellington, fish and chips, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fondant, plus cocktails such as the Pemberleys sling and rhubarb triangle. Reviewers also describe the afternoon tea, Sunday roasts and a decor they call stunning and pretty, and many call the staff friendly and welcoming. The caveats are mainly about service pace and choice. One party waited a long time to order, found it hard to get attention when a chicken dish was missing from a meal, and had the same trouble asking for the bill, though the missing dish was sorted quickly. Another waited for a dessert menu. One reviewer found the ribeye pre-cut with no steak knife, and another wanted more than two vegetarian mains and preferred the fondant potato to the harissa mash. One anniversary table was surprised with a sparkler.

“The food exceeded our expectations! Without a doubt, the best Sunday roasts we have ever had. Everything was delicious, from the appetizers to the desserts. 🤎”

“Excellent from start to finish, we were greeted at the doors and then shown to our seats till the rest of our party arrived and we were then all taken to our table. Drinks were carried by the staff. Every staff member was very attentive and professional. We were constantly checked to make sure we were happy with the food. I can definitely recommend the lamb shank. Thank you for a wonderful experience. My father in law thoroughly enjoyed his 89th birthday.”

“This was our second visit to Pemberley’s. The food was as good as on our first visit but we were a bit disappointed with the service ..it took a long time to take our food order and when the food arrived and one meal was missing the chicken, it was really difficult to attract anyone’s attention. When we did, the issue was sorted quickly .. we had the same issue when we wanted to pay the bill. Seemed to be a lot of staff cleaning and clearing tables but hardly anyone keeping an eye on customers trying to attract attention. Really enjoyed our meal and we will come back but hoping the service will be better next time.”
