About The Spicy Biker
The Spicy Biker is a family-owned Indian street food restaurant in Wakefield, on Cross St, cooking from family recipes with its own spin on the street food format. The menu starts with a sharing platter that includes onion bhajis, and the curries include lamb rogan and butter chicken. A specials board runs alongside the main menu, and starters there have included chops. The restaurant is small, which keeps the setting compact. All of the food is halal, so the menu works for guests who eat only halal. Dogs are also welcome, so a pet can join the visit.

Customer Review Summary
The sharing starter is the most frequently praised item, with reviewers pointing to the onion bhajis and describing a good range of food that was plenty for two. Close behind are the curries, including the lamb rogan, butter chicken and fish curry, along with chops from the specials board that one diner called perfectly cooked. Reviewers describe the food as fresh, tasty and made from family recipes, and the laid back, cool atmosphere gets repeated mention. Service draws consistent praise, with a server repeatedly described as welcoming, knowledgeable and willing to walk through the whole menu, including options for a child with allergies. The caveats are mixed. One reviewer thought the sharing starter was overpriced for what arrived and found a single rice portion fit one person, not two. The same table waited about half an hour before learning an order had not been started because of a printing error, and no drink or popadoms were offered. Another found the menu less exciting than Leeds street food competitors. One reviewer suggests booking through the website, and another was accommodated even when arriving before opening.

“This was my first time at this restaurant I normally travel to Leeds for that Indian street food style restaurant such as Mowgli's or tamatanga. So starting with good - service was good, venue was clean and has a kool vibe. The food was tasty and very fresh which was great. The negative - I feel there menu isn't quite as exciting as the competition. The food is good but just didn't wow me. I would 100 percent come back here but I feel they need to make the menu more exciting. Thanks for a good meal.”

“If you are visiting Wakefield this spot goes above and beyond with both flavours and service, a must visit without a doubt. The moment you walk in you are met with vibes, and there’s a general sense of passion in here for every aspect of the restaurant. But the food, let me tell you, is unbelievably delicious and cooked with love, using family recipes as the lovely owner told us! No plate served goes out without the upmost confidence that it’s going to blow your mind. Try the Bhajis, and the Lamb rogan! Special mention to Liv who deserves all the merits as the most loveliest and warmest server who catered to all our needs thank you so much I’ll be recommending this place to all who visit Wakefield.”

“Great food, Liv was lovely. We got there a little before they opened but still accommodated us. Definitely will be going back.”

“Been wanting to try here for a long time and it didn’t disappoint one bit. The food was outstanding and our server Liv was amazing, went above and beyond for us. Even took the time out to go through the entire menu with us to find out what our daughter could have when we bring her next time due to her allergies.”

“This is an amazing family owned Asian street food restaurant. The atmosphere has a great vibe, very cool and laid back with nice decor and music. The service is great, everyone was very welcoming and especially Liv who took time to explain everything about the menu and couldn’t do enough for us! Now on the food, what can I say, it was top tier and takes the top spot for this type of restaurant in Wakefield, the food is obviously prepared fresh and individually made, the portions are generous and the prices are great. I had the chops for starters on the specials board and they were perfectly cooked and with a delicious marinade, then I had the 3 different main course curries and they were all absolutely delicious, I don’t think I could pick a favorite. I would highly recommend getting yourself down here for a different experience from your usual curry night, we will be back that’s for sure!”
