Customer Review Summary
Servers draw the most praise, described as friendly, helpful and witty, with one waiter singled out for his cheery energy and another for his knowledge of the food. Close behind is the steak and Guinness pie, called rich and hearty by two diners, alongside the haggis bonbons, fish and chips with fresh, flaky fish, and flat iron steak frites. Others mention the Sunday roast, fried halloumi sticks, a spicy margarita and sticky pudding for dessert. Reviewers describe the food as fresh and homemade, with generous portions and a relaxed, warm atmosphere. One group found plenty of choice on the children's food, and a visitor relying on a gluten-free app found suitable options. The only reservation is one reviewer who found the steak frites a little pricey, though still delicious. Reviewers also recall personal touches: a party of 13 celebrating a grandmother's 85th had a separate lounge and a cake with candles, and another diner received a birthday card from the staff.

“We came here as a group of 13 which included 2 kids and a baby for my grans 85th. We booked out a separate lounge area and pre ordered in advance. The food was very good including the food for the kids which had plenty choice for them. Everything was a reasonable price and the atmosphere was relaxed. Facilities such as the toilets were spotless. A standout which has to be mentioned is the staff and service. Absolutely brilliant! Very friendly and attentive, very helpful and facilitating with a cake and candles, and our particular waiter was witty and brought a lot of positive energy to the evening!”

“Friendly, helpful staff. Atmosphere extremely good, food just brilliant. Visited for the first time on Sat with relatives from Canada. Every member of staff was so helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The young lady that served us was just so friendly, professional, and a joy to meet. Will be there a lot more often now.”

“Lovely place for dinner. The food and service were exceptional. The staff were very friendly and personable, going above and beyond to make things special. You can tell it is a favourite for many. Personal favourites were the fried halloumi sticks and spicy margarita. My husband is partial to his steak.”
