About Feed General Store
Feed General Store is a cafe at 393 Manchester Rd in Stockport, open daily during the daytime only. Breakfast and brunch run all day, with a full feed and a veggie feed alongside the Everything Egg Bap, a breakfast buttie. The kitchen cooks from scratch with locally sourced ingredients, and the homemade beans and pan fried greens come with the breakfasts. Sunday roast arrives with crispy pork, vegetables and cauliflower cheese. Drinks include coffee, tea served in a large pot, and wine, and the cake selection includes a heated blueberry and lime scone or muffin with jam and butter. Customers pay upfront at the counter. On the first Thursday of every month, the cafe hosts a vinyl night, a regular date for people who want to listen to records.

Customer Review Summary
Coffee is the most frequent draw, described as great, fantastic and gorgeous in flavour, and reviewers repeatedly call the cafe a favourite in the Heatons. Close behind are the Sunday roast, where diners praise the crispy pork, the vegetables and the cauliflower cheese, and the brunch, including the Everything Egg Bap, a full feed with homemade beans and pan fried greens, and a heated blueberry and lime scone. A dairy free reviewer says the kitchen is accommodating with dietary requirements, and others mention the play area and that dogs are welcome. Complaints are fewer but specific. One reviewer waited far longer than expected for two takeaway sausage and egg sandwiches with no update, received only a casual apology, and saw chefs chatting in the kitchen. Another describes rude staff, a table beside the loud children's play area, tips requested after paying upfront, and a waitress who slammed the cutlery down. One reviewer adds that the large pot of tea suits two or three people, and another suggests booking a table because it fills quickly.

“Really good vibe in this place, chilled customers in interesting surroundings, groovy furniture, decor and artworks.. They serve blueberry/lime scone/muffin, heated, with jam and butter. Very nice, and a cup of tea! Cheers Steve”

“Good breakfast ruined by extremely rude staff with a lot of attitude. The staff is quite full of themselves We were asked to sit at a table right in front of children's play area which was extremely loud and very crammed. When we asked to sit elsewhere, they haven't helped us bring anything from the previous table. We brought everything with us but forgot the cutlery we haven't used on the previous table. The waitress who eventually brought the cutlery slammed it on the table only to then go and complain about it to her colleague right in front of us. You pay upfront and they ask for tips without having delivered the service which is quite funny. The staff is clearly in serious need of training on how to speak to customers. Won't be back.”

“A harsh but honest review to hopefully serve as constructive feedback for the owner: I had a very bad experience today. I ordered two sausage and egg sandwiches to take away for £16 altogether. No one told me where to wait so i took myself outside. After 20 mins I went back inside as I thought I might have been forgotten about. Waited another 15 minutes inside with no update from the staff that the two sandwiches are taking longer than expected. Finally got them at 35 minutes after ordering and got a casual ‘sorry about the wait’. The place was not busy and in fact I overheard a member of staff say how it is not busy compared to usual. I would be completely happy to wait 35 minutes for a simple sandwich IF: 1) The staff warned me about the wait time 2) I couldn’t see chefs standing and chatting in the kitchen 3) If the wait was longer than they expected and they updated me to say ‘sorry its taking longer then usual and offered something in compensation (even a simple cold drink) 4) There was some kind of meaningful apology when the sandwich is ready 35 minutes later 5) There was somewhere to wait other than outside in the cold or next to people at tables trying to eat their breakfast 6) The sandwich quality justified the wait time There is a complete lack of awareness about customer experience and I for one am put off going here again. I hope they improve as the neighbourhood does not have many cafe’s to choose from.”

“One of my favourite brunch spots in the Heatons! ☕️ The coffee is always great and the brunch is delicious. It’s perfect for a quick takeaway during the week or a relaxed visit at the weekend. I work at the salon over the road and loads of my clients pop in for a takeaway coffee or food while they’re here, everyone always says how good it is. The Everything Egg Bap is an underrated gem on the menu… honestly the best breakfast buttie I’ve had. I’m dairy free and they’re always really accommodating with dietary requirements too. Such a lovely local spot!”

“Best Sunday roast I've ever had genuinely ! The vegetables were actually the star of the show (my partner even said better than my roast 🤣) and I'd really recommend getting the cauliflower cheese too. The pork is super crispy and flavoursome too. Katherine was super friendly, as was the other young lady but I didn't catch her name”
