About The Corner Cafe
On Broadstone Rd in Stockport, The Corner Cafe is a cafe, takeaway and sandwich shop working on a walk-in basis. The Texan sub, served in brown vienna bread, sits alongside a club sandwich and a chicken garlic mayo sub, with a quesadilla on Thursdays and chicken curry and rice served on Fridays. Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is the main draw, and the breakfast wrap, including a vegetarian version, comes up most, with one reviewer phoning ahead to order it most days. Close behind are the sandwiches and toasties: a cheese, ham and tomato toastie described as fresh, a club sandwich, a chicken garlic mayo sub and a sub in brown vienna bread. Reviewers also mention a quesadilla on Thursdays and chicken curry and rice on Fridays. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, nice and polite, and several describe quick service and reasonable prices, with a few returning weekly or regularly. The negatives are specific. One reviewer was charged the full amount extra to upgrade breakfast to a latte that turned out to be made with water, and found tables covered in crumbs, sauce and coffee rings, so they wiped their own with a sleeve. Another found no non dairy milk, a broken smoothie machine and a poor breakfast sandwich, though a wrongly taken order was quickly fixed.

“Food was nice, but i dont know why i was changed full amount extra with my brekki to upgrade to a latte, to witch was made with water not milk? Dirty tables, all was empty, yet all had crumbs and sauce and coffee rings on them, had to clean our table myself with my sleeve. also floor and seating had crumbs everywhere.”
