  “After reading the reviews I had to try the chicken burger and chicken donner wrap. Both were decent but the wrap had nearly no chicken meat it was more like a salad wrap.”

The food is consistently flawless, with perfectly cooked meat, incredibly fresh salad, massive portions, and bold flavours that hit every single time. The well-done lamb doner is on another level, the chips are ridiculously good, and the staff always deliver top-tier service with a genuinely welcoming vibe. Easily one of the very best takeaways in the city — a true 5-star experience every single visit.”

  “DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! Be careful they take advantage of drunk people and charge them way over price and add stuff on DO not go here they tried charging £46 for a dinner meat and chips and burger !!!!!”

  “Have been coming to charcoal grill for years, after school with my dad once a week as a teenager, and my mum and dad even came before I was even born! Have been visiting for the past week as I don’t live in Southampton, and I’ve shamelessly ordered 5 times this week as there really is no kebab like it! The kindest people who will go above and beyond for your order. Will be ordering one last time tonight as I won’t be in the area after this weekend. Thanks again, Yaz (183)”

  “*Excuse the potential rambling: Went here due to a TikTok video claiming the chicken burger (sandwich) is the best around which I mentioned to the very nice owner who served us. Carrying on in a drunk conversation I said to him that I am originally from Hythe and missed the massive butterflied 100% chicken sandwiches I used to get from a local kebab place, to which he replied "Hythe Kebab Centre?"... and goes on to say he actually opened it. So anyone who knows of and has eaten from HKC, can be sure CG are pretty much the same, except BETTER. The chips are out of this world, crispy and fluffy on the inside and the Chicken Sandwich is spot on, being identical to Hythe's offering only in this case the Chicken is Juicier and not tough around the edges which you sometimes used to get at HKC. CG is a little bit cheaper as well. So glad we discovered this place, as I cannot emphasise how good the Chicken Sandwiches are, especially after a few drinkies!”

  “I ordered the chicken sandwich meal deal. Easily the best chicken burger I've tasted in Southampton. The chips were fresh and the chilli sauce and garlic mayo topped it nicely.”

  “Best doner kebab in all of England. Does it better than even GDK. Portion sizes are so generous and flavours are so great that I make my boyfriend buy at least once a week. Only problem is opens too late 😢”

  “Decent spot for a quick bite! 🍔👌 The grilled options are tasty, and the service is friendly. Nothing spectacular, but a good value for the price. Would go back for a casual meal.”
