About Harvey's Cafe
Harvey's Cafe sits on High Street in Southampton, serving breakfast and lunch through the day. The kitchen offers a full english and bubble and squeak alongside breakfast wraps and baps, including an egg and sausage bap, with vegetarian substitutions available for pork items. A gluten free menu is offered, priced according to what's ordered, and a daily special rounds out the lunch options alongside baps. Window seating is available for those who want it. Families with young children can make use of high chairs, and dogs are welcome inside. The cafe takes walk-ins rather than bookings, and it opens Wednesday to Sunday for daytime service only, closing on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is what reviewers return to most, with the full English and the bubble and squeak breakfast named as favourites, plus breakfast wraps and baps, including an egg and sausage bap. One reviewer calls it one of the best breakfasts they have had, cooked perfectly and arriving quickly. Close behind is how the kitchen handles dietary needs. A coeliac reviewer describes a dedicated gluten free menu and care to avoid cross contamination, another says items can be chosen individually and priced accordingly after a responsive reply on Facebook, and a third reports that pork products were swapped out of a breakfast for a vegetarian. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and lovely to chat to, and several call the prices reasonable or great. Coffee is also described as good, and one reviewer mentions a special of the day as delicious. No recurring complaints appear in the reviews. Reviewers who stopped in on a quiet morning note the café was packed a couple of hours later, and several say they plan to return.

“What a stunning little GEM of a Café, we were visiting for an annual running event and were at a loss for somewhere to go for breakfast. It was very early so we were the only ones in which isn't normally a good sign but it was 3rd January. The staff were very friendly and seated us by the window so we could see the world pass us by, we ordered and in no time at all our breakfast arrived, excellent quality items cooked perfectly. its hard to rant about breakfast but this really was one of the best we have ever had. The price was reasonable and we will definitely be coming back and will go out of our way to return to Harvey's Café. Oh and we passed by a couple of hours later and the Café was rammed! no surprises there.”
