An old bus parked in a yard just off Hound Rd in Netley holds Bus Stop Cafe, a Southampton cafe that seats its customers inside the converted vehicle. Cooked breakfasts form the mainstay of the menu, with a full English among them, and the kitchen cooks to order and adds daily specials. The food follows a traditional British greasy spoon approach. Tables outside the bus give the option of eating in the open air, and dogs are welcome alongside their owners. High chairs are on hand for families with young children. No bookings are taken, so customers simply turn up and order. Meals can also be taken away, and a delivery service runs for those eating off site. The owners run the place themselves, serving and chatting with customers at the tables. It opens Monday to Saturday during the daytime and stays closed on Sundays.

“An amazing find. A cafe in an old bus tucked away in a yard just off Hound Rd, Netley. Good, honest, wholesome food served with a nice warm welcome. Breakfast or a main meal you’ll find it here.
