Quick info
About Psiloritis Ida Cafe
Psiloritis Ida Cafe brings Greek café staples to Woolston in Southampton, with a counter menu built around coffee and pies. The freddo cappuccino, made as a cold cappuccino, sits alongside a rotation of Greek pies that runs from cheese and spinach through to chicken and orange, so a savoury snack or something sweeter both work at the same visit. Baklava and cakes round out the sweet side. Tables outside give customers the option of eating and drinking in the open air. The café works on a walk-in basis, with no booking needed, and it opens daily during the daytime rather than into the evening. Greek coffee is prepared in the traditional style for anyone who wants it that way.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers come mainly for the Greek coffee, with the freddo cappuccino singled out as the traditional cold version, and one calling it the best coffee in Woolston. Close behind are the Greek pies, with the cheese and spinach, chicken and orange pies named, several saying they taste just like those in Greece or Crete. Baklava, a matcha latte and a turmeric drink also get specific mentions, and one reviewer describes the breakfast as fresh and healthy. The staff are repeatedly called friendly and welcoming, with one regular saying they know her order the moment she walks in, and another noting they gave helpful recommendations. Reviewers also mention generous portions, outdoor seating in the sun, and a steady flow of Greek visitors. The one complaint comes from a reviewer who found the cakes a bit too sweet, and who plans to ask for them without the syrup next time.

“Good Cafe. The cheese and spinach pies are high quality and nearly as good as the ones in Crete. The style is slightly different from the ones in Chania, but still very good. Fredo Cappuccino is legit. I stongly recommend you go with this traditional cold Cappuccino if you want the full Greek experience.”

The service is consistently excellent, friendly, attentive, and genuine. And the coffee? Simply outstanding. Rich, smooth, and clearly crafted with care. A wonderful experience all around.
