  “Absolutely lovely little pub, this was my first time here, my friend who I dined with recommended it, it’s one of a few pubs we are going to try. This was a lovely pub, plenty of parking outside and a nice outside seating area. The menu was very nice, it does English food and Indian food too. We opted for the Indian food, I had a kebab, which was served on a sizzling hot plate, we had Bombay potatoes, onion bharji’s, my friend had a lovely chicken dish. All of the food was cooked to perfection and tasted lovely. We couldn’t eat it all and were given a takeaway box to take the food home. The service at the Sir John Barleycorn was outstanding. My friend and I will definitely go back to try out the other tasty dishes available on their menu.”

  “We had a large group of us (16). 7 children and 9 adults. We ordered from both the kids, pub and Indian menu's. Without prompt they brought out all the children's meals first, which was really thoughtful and appreciated. The portions were great and empty plates all round. The Indian food was great. Can recommend the Tandoori mixed grill. Not just great food but really reasonably priced too. Friendly and attentive staff. Would not hesitate to return again.”
